The mountain is shaped like a three-sided pyramid. The summit reaches 5.5 miles (8.8 kilometers above sea level to heights where is oxygen is thin. There is lack of oxygen, powerful winds, and extremely cold temperatures. 
The Himalayan ranged were thrust upward by tectonic action as the Indian-Australian Plate moved northward from the South and was moved downward under the Eurasian Plate following the collision of the two plates between about 40 and 50 million years ago. The Himalayas themselves started rising about 25 to 30 million years ago, and The Great Himalayas began to take their present form during the Pleistocene Epoch (about 2,600,000) to 11,700 years ago)

Sherpas probably came to Nepal from Tibet in the early part of the 16th century. They still have many customs and traditions of the Tibetan people and they also dress in Tibetan clothes. Most sherpas are Tibetans Buddhists. They have no written language and worship the mountains around them, which they view as the home of the Gods. Mount Everest, for example, is called Chomolungma, the Mother of Gods. They lived in their villages, traded goods and grew corn and potatoes. When the British started their expeditions they used the sherpas as guides. It's located on the border between Nepal, Tibet, Sagarmatha Zone & China. When naming the mount there were major problems. Eventually in 1865 the mountain finally came to be known as Mount Everest named after Sir George Everest, a surveyor general of India in the 1830s.  Right from the year 1924 when the first expedition on Mount Everest was done, endless attempts had been made for the summit but success was achieved only in mid 1953. On 29th May 1953, two men named Sir Edmund Hillary & Tenzing Norgay finally made it to the summit. The route that was used by these two men to make it to the top continued to be known as the first out of the fifteen routes recognized to the top by 1996. Higher up are found sedimentary rocks of marine origin (remnants of the ancient floor of the Tethys Sea that closed after the collision of the two plates) Notable is the Yellow Band, a limestone formation that is prominently visible just below the summit pyramid.

In the coldest winter month, January, the average temperature is an unbearable -33 F (-36 C). Temperatures can even become as cold as -70 F (-57 C). The milder months bring a little relief. The temperature never rises above the freezing point, 32 F (0 C) on the summit. 
June through September is monsoon season, when tremendous storms arise from the Indian Ocean. Strong winds mix with heavy snow to create blizzards on Everest. Sudden storms and blasts of wind create hazards for mountain climbers.

Storms can come up suddenly, and temperatures can plummet unexpectedly. The peak of Everest is so high that it reaches the lower limit of the jet stream, and it can be buffeted by sustained winds of more than 100 miles (160 km) per hour. Precipitation falls as snow during the summer monsoon (late May to mid-September). The risk of frostbite to climbers on Everest is extremely high.

It is for The Sherpas that are climbing Mount Everest they need oxygen and water tanks. There are also detachable pockets in the front of the backpack. But, there is minimalized space in The Sherpa Pack. We need to make the backpack wider and longer. For more space and storage for heavy items. More pockets and small storage places and zippers to keep objects secure. It also needs to be balanced out and not bulky and heavy. A thicker fabric to secure the tanks and heavier objects.
