Statement of inquiry: Art reflects interconnectedness across space and time.

I will also begin by to explore different artist. Begining with Peter Randall.

The improvement I would make would be unlike the first design, this second design is very messy such as the bottom and top. This design also has misprint which is a lot because I didn't put lots of ink into my print and I also didn't push the paper hard enough which caused some ink to still ink in the foam. the print also looks unbalanced like the print is not straight. This also have messy spots in the print like the finger print.

Examples such as the corners. The corners were supposed to have a swirl like curve to it but the ink covered too much of it.

-The Artwork looks like a towel or a blanket wrapped together.

-The middle looks like a flower such as a rose.

-It also looks like organs because of the curved pieces looking like stomach intestines that are moving to the center.

Peter Randal made his artwork like a flowering in them middle while being surrounded by organic looking intestines which could mean he liked flowers or he is drawing from what he imagines himself falling down a looping hole with the middle being never ending in a black void.

-The lines keep going around and changing sizes each time till it reaches the middle and it becomes smaller each time it keeps going to the middle.

What went wrong: During this process, I faced multiple misprint for the second and first layer, shown in the first and second picture. The second picture is very confusing to tell if its a bug or something else because its misaligned. I also misplaced the first one the wrong way which it to be messy for the second picture.

Improvements: The one drawing that I wish to improve on would be the car which I found hard to draw and the door was supposed to have the beetle's back just like the digital art but when I drew the car, I put more drawing time on the front of the car instead of the back or side because the side was starting to face down and the wheels are smaller and not the same size as the front shape and needs to be a consistent perspective.

I also shaded the front door of the car too much that it didn't represent the back of the beetle. Some lines can be smoother, especially on the distorted side panel, unless the roughness is part of the stylistic intent.

Improvement: I didn't blend the two piece together smoothly because my drawing didn't have the right color that mixes with the picture below. I need to make the color darker like have it like a shadow.

Improvements: I didn't add anything to the opposite side of the tree and there the outline looks not clear and when I began coloring. I accidently colors some areas that were supposed to be different colors such as the shadows but then I accidently colored it with light green which is why you see the shadow color for the trees are like mixed together and I also didn't blend it with the futurism art and the color of it.

Another thing that went well was the chicken and the background which has good blending in my opinion. Its less messy and doesn't show the lines like the clouds on top of the train.

Areas to improve:

I didn't get to finish coloring the center of the beetle, since i didn't enough time to finish I couldn't experiment with more colors so I just painted it a single coloro for the center and I also would need to imrpove on the coloring of the city because they aren't being shown that much since the color I painted the city are similar to the background I made. I also was trying to add circles to the background of the city and blend it but it didn't go well and the circles were messy and un-organised. The ocean isn't reflecting much light and the enviroment surrounding the ocean isn't green and I also didn't know what to do with the corner so I just used it and mixed colors but it became brownish. I also tried making a mountain surrounding the ocean and add shadow but it didn't go as well as I thought it would in my head. The blending wasn't goood as well such as the waterfall and the rocks aren't connected to the water. I also added a red splash accidently, so I tried fixing it by turning the red splash into a whale or a fish but now it just looks dead since I didn't know how to make it look like its floating. Another is my painting is very messy and sometimes I accidently splash some paints onto the parts i didn't want paint to be on so I had to mix it and sometimes I splash paint around the areas of my paint. The clouds were also the problem since I wanted the clouds to be yellow but i went over board and mixed the colors too much.

What link did you make with the artist?

The portal and inside is peter randal with the background being black. The train is for futurism and the lines are supposed to be abstract lines. The rocket that is connected to the beetle is supposed to be a rocket which represent the technology.

What more could you have done?

-Finish it earlier

-Make it less messy

-Don't mix colors too much or else it would look bad

-add lightings and shadows

-Finishing the area that are still white.

How did you overcome your problems?

So for the ocean I did a lot of blending for it since I wanted it to show a light like some sides very bright and some sides have a shadow but I accidently added a red splash to it which I had to turn it into a fish. Another would be the train as I added a light blue and as it keeps going down, it gets dark.

What could be done differently if this was repeated?

-Maybe try a different idea that isn't too complicated

-Make the drawing bigger so I don't waste too much time coloring.

-Use soft tapes so some splashes don't interact with other paint.
