A 'scrum board' is a SIMPLE tool that will allow students to to do just that. It will help students track their progress while also informing their parents (and teachers) of their productivity. Students will be able to:

Plan and manage tasks/ assignments without needing reminders
Have time during the day for the things they love
Be excited about learning
Help please their parents and submit assignments on time

Here are the steps for students to create one:

1. Create a four column board for 'time,' 'to do', 'doing', and 'done.'
2. Next, jot out tasks for the day on different post- it notes
3. Map out the day with post- it notes according to times to complete each task
4. Fill in 'brain breaks'
5. Get a jar to place 'finished' items so parents can help track progress

It is immediate feedback for the student and the teacher receives an email notification when student record their video. It is a great way for the students to practice speaking and listening skills. The students can sign on using their school email or a parents email if they don't have a school email. Other ways it can be used is for short speeches, book reports, show and tell, poetry recital, the list can go on and on.
