I think I play pacman with a DFS type approach. I travel as far as I can in one direction, before changing direction and repeating. I don’t necessarily return to the last node with un-visited neighbors before starting a new branch, but i am trying to avoid covering the same ground more than once. The ghosts make me deviate from this strategy a bit, to collect the big dots, maybe this analogous to a heuristic in a informed search?

I'm always inclined to follow any path with pellets, because they are delicious. The only reason I deviate from this path is specifically to pick up something more valuable than a pellet, such as a cherry, or a power pellet & ghost combo.
On top of this, I also consider the lethality of ghosts, pathing away from them with greater precedence than anything listed above, since death is the worst way to get a high score.

We love high scores here.
Waka waka.
