Laura DiLello said, “‘They do want to learn, but right now they don’t have the tools they need.’” Although we have the drive to learn, we don’t have what we need to do so. I think that, to some extent, it is something we could look up on the internet, but I also feel finances are very personal and what someone might think is the best bank account or credit card might not be the best option for you. Someone should be there to guide us with something as important as money is until we learn what we need to learn. Since we are soon going to college, knowing about how to save money safely and budget for things we need instead of spending our money on things we don’t need.

The economy isn’t good right now. Teens are also on their way to college or jobs, which means that they have to start saving money because they will no longer be someone’s dependent. I agree because I wanted to save money for college, but I never got around to it because I didn’t know how a savings account would affect my money. I also know that economic depressions can really affect people if they don’t save money. "Children and teens who grow up with an allowance find that balancing a budget is a 'natural' next step in the process, because they’ve got to keep track of the money coming in and going out." I never had an allowance, so I never learned to save money like that. Most of the time, whenever I got money, I had something I was supposed to spend it on.
