But the charities below were fundamental in the difficult recovery:

  3. The Australian Red Cross
These charities helped the community by providing clean up assistance, distributing vouchers, giving first aid and they also helped find missing people.

Environmental Impacts
  1. Queensland supplies a lot of Australia's tropical fruits like banana's. Banana trees and farms were impact by the high level of wind. This meant that Australia had a shortage of banana's.
  2. A lot of wild animals found the storms ver scary and harsh. Their homes in plants, underground and underwater were damaged by the flooding, winds and torrential rain
Economic Impacts
  1. In Queensland there are a lot of small businesses like cafes, shops e.t.c. These businesses (including larger businesses) were very much impacted by the strong conditions, ripping their work places apart and loosing valuable equipment that benefited their company greatly
  2. Over 22 coal mines were forced to close down during the storms and it is predicted that they lost $1.5 billion  impacting the Queensland economy greatly. 
Social Impacts
  1. Thousands of communities were left without power and many had tremendous damage done to their houses. The government, however sent in the army and emergency services to help the flood ravaged communities with the clean up
