Paper ones tear very soon. Cotton ones have a huge carbon footprint but get reused a lot. Flimsy plastic ones have a little carbon print, but get thrown away and take centuries to decompose.
Sturdy plastic gets reused a lot and has a low carbon footprint. In my opinion, the best option is glass containers. We can go shopping with the empty container and keep the product at home with that same packaging. It can be washed and used as many times as necessary. It is very durable and more environmentally friendly. There are different sizes and we can use them for solids (such as legumes) or liquids (such as fresh milk). The winner is the glass!

These multi-materiality makes it difficult to recycle THEM. The problem is that the separation of materials is very difficult and most of the actions carried out are limited to incinerateING the bricks.
The best option is using bioplastics materials (biodegradable polymers) to manufacture these bricks, due SINCE they are single-use.

Nowadays we still use a lot of plastic bottles for different daily uses: bottling water, soft drinks, soap, etc. and single-use plastic has a huge carbon footprint.

Instead, if aluminium bottles are made from 100% recycled material, the carbon footprint will be 96% lower (than what?), making them similar to reusable glass bottles.

So, aluminium becomes an environmentally friendly option.

We can use glass bottles for bottling water at home and aluminium bottles to take to work, in the car/public transport or when we do sport, because they are lightweight.

In two decades its sales has HAVE doubled.
In my opinion the best way to reduce the use of plastic bottles is TO USE a built-in filter. This system is also the solution due to the serious presence of micro-plastics in the waters of rivers. In addition there are waters treated with excess chlorine or water with excess of metals or pesticides what that are harmful to our health.
By installing a filter in your home tap you can reduce the amount of plastics bottles that are throw away.
It will improve the environment and IT will benefit your health.

A 2019 study shows that there are more plastic containers than cigarette butts on the beach.
Much of this garbage comes from food plastic wrappers.

The best option to reduce this kind of pollution is to use reusable food wraps.
They are made of beeswax and for this reason they don't pollute and food is better preserved and that doesn't pollute.

So in many cases it THEY end up in our beaches and seas and as in consequence  it THEY can be eaten by marine animals, and also generate a contamination. Also can be transfromed in  THEY also transform (break down) into  microplastics.

Instead use of using the traditional pad or tampons, we can use a reusable menstrual products as like a menstrual cup, reusable period underwear or reusable pads. The planet will be cleanner and happier. And we will feel better with the plastic away of from our body.
