What does the research say?
Research indicates that in order for students to use content language accurately in their speaking and writing, they must hear the language multiple time and in multiple contexts. Having students speak in complete sentences provides a means for students to hear content-area vocabulary used in context, not only by the teacher, but also by their peers.

College Week is here!!!  Next week, please have those conversations about what college you graduated from and what you did to get there. (Good study habits, commitment, initiative, fasfa, etc). Thank you to all of you who submitted the faculty college survey. Reminder, you must have data prepared for your SSP/504  meetings.  It's important to provide accurate information to the parent, so that we can create a plan to help the student be academically successful.  The data you will need to provide is on the counselors tab in the Greater Good shared doc.

]]> 2018-09-14 21:51:54 UTC https://padlet.com/azavala3/tc8ed5tie3dw/wish/281544321 A Message from the Library azavala3 https://padlet.com/azavala3/tc8ed5tie3dw/wish/281544343 Next week is “A” week in the library.  This week 2nd grade had wonderful experiences writing about what they would like to be when they grow up.  Our Tigers want to be doctors, firemen, construction workers, teachers, librarians, mommy’s and daddy’s.  Kinder drew pictures of what they wanted to be and 1st grade learned about “How to treat books”.  4th grade wrote about what they would do if they won 1 billion dollars in the lottery.  In one of the bluebonnet books they will read this year the teacher won 28 billion dollars and gave each of her students 1 billion.  Please stop by the library windows and see their wonderful work.
It is important that you come with your laptop to the library to print on the color printer.
If you have students in need of a replacement badge please send them with their $2 to the library between 7:45- 8:00 on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday morning.
Students desiring to help pick up books at 7:45 are welcome to apply.  I am learning that I need 4 students each morning because many hands make light work.  I have been very please with the o=workers you have sent me so far.  Thank you for allowing them to participate.

  • Digital Learning Coach: It was GREAT sitting with your grade levels this week! My job is to co-teach, assist/run digital small group stations, introduce apps/programs, and teach digital citizenship.  Book Me so we can make that happen!!
