A lot of countries are getting hold of nuclear weapons, and that increases the risk of nuclear detonations. In the BBC article, it states, “ by the 1970s , both sides had massive arsenals based on missile technologies that could target anywhere in the world.” With this dominance, it can lead to a lot of corruption within the leaders. The Washington Post talks about how the world should be focused on getting rid of the nuclear weapons instead of trying to make more. Nuclear weapons just cause a lot of destruction and is very bad for the environment as well. In the Contrnt Time article, it states, “from the atomic explosions, it killed crops and the temperature was starting to change.” It also talks about how it lead to starving most of those who survived the explosions.
