Plants have existed and thrived in this world long before humans came around! Plants have long served us in so many ways - primarily as a source of food, oxygen, medicine, clothing, and so much more. Without them, animals and plants wouldn't have healthy habitats to grow and thrive as a species.

The Tundra biome is one of the most fragile and threatened biomes in the world. Some of its greatest threats are attributed to climate change and human disruption. The building of roads and drilling for oil thaws permafrost and damages the soil. This makes it hard for this biome to bounce back and produce vegetation needed to survive.

The Neolithic Revolution occurred when humans shifted from nomadic hunter gatherers to a more sedentary, agrarian based lifestyle. Since plants and animals had become domesticated within their settlements, humans no longer had to migrate for food. A surplus of food caused a huge increase in population, subsequently allowing people to focus on building upon their technologies, practices, and society.

It is no surprise that the planet has undergone drastic changes due to climate change. Global warming can be attributed to extinction of certain species, heat waves, and more frequent natural disasters. If we don't start taking precautions now, and try saving what we can, Earth will continue to deteriorate and become inhabitable for many species. The picture below is an example of what our future may look like: melting in the Antarctic.
