When Pyramus and Thisbe decide to meet up for the first time they meet under the mulberry bush, but what you might not realize is that the mulberry bush was growing in a tomb. It's almost as if they knew they were going to their deaths. In Romeo and Juliet, both Paris and Romeo go to Juliet's tomb. We overlook this but they basically did the exact same thing as Pyramus and Thisbe walking straight into their tomb like they're love could not live and their deaths were already determined.

The lion in "Pyramus and Thisbe" is represented by Balthasar in Romeo and Juliet. In the two stories neither of these characters physically hurt anyone, yet without the characters being there neither of the lovers would have died. Pyramus thinks the lion kills Thisbe but the lion doesn't touch her. therefore without the lion neither of them would have died.
