This document is a poster from an awareness campaign led by the California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) in 2015, against «racial and ethnic stereotypes». This particular poster represents the prejudices about Mexican people that are perpetrated in American society. 
The person in the foreground is an indigenous Mexican woman. She is a student at CSUSM. We can see that she is tearing apart a piece of paper on which is pictured a white woman dressed in a stereotypical Mexican outfit : she is wearing a «sombrero» while holding tequila shots in her left hand, as well as on her belt. She also has a sign with «Green Card» written on it. By tearing apart these ridiculous and harmful stereotypes, she is opening the way to more knowledge : behind the looks, history and culture need to be represented respectfully. The poster itself seems to be torn apart, revealing a picture of Dolores Huerta, an important civil rights activist who fought for farmers' and immigrants' rights. This woman is a symbol of the fight for the acknowledgement of Mexican culture (and Latino cultures on a broader perspective) in America. The whole purpose of this poster is to denounce racial and ethnic stereotypes while encouraging us to explore Mexican culture and history, instead of focusing our attention on appearances and looks (like the woman dressed as a Mexican). 

Actress Eva Longoria posted a message on Instagram denouncing stereotypes of Latinos in Hollywood films. She wants to include Latinos as they are, not by their stereotypes.

Latinos in Holywood films mainly play “bad guy” roles such as criminals, poor people or people with a bad attitude. They play people who are also angry. The worst thing for Eva Longoria is that Latino actors play white people 36% of the time. She concludes that «their culture was erased, and their stories were whitewashed.». The stereotypes of Latin Lover is a microconcept that all Latino males are suave, romantic guys that are highly sexualized. Latin lovers are often depicted as tall, dark and handsome with golden skin and molten dark eyes. A social study showed that «nearly four in five women tourists were unmoved by Italian men’s charm. Seventy-nine percent said that they would not fall for an Italian, with many saying they lacked cheerfulness and a sense of humour, while others complained they were childish.» Through this social experiment, we learn that women don't see Latinos the way the "Latin lover” is represented but they still see them negatively. Eugenio Derbez says that, for him, the film denounces the stereotypes of a “Latin lover” through humour. Moreover, Mexicans and Americans have a different point of view on these clichés. Indeed, Mexicans find it funny to make jokes about being Latino and Americans find it shocking that Mexicans would laugh about it.

He asks them to guess in which states the number of Hispanic citizens is the highest, to name a famous Mexican American, or the percentage of Latinos in the US who are immigrants…

We can see that for every question, there is only one person who is able to answer right 

The questions are :

—Latino Americans are the fastest-growing minority : false, Asians are the fastest-growing racial group in the US.

— What are the states with the highest number of Hispanic ? The states are California, Texas, and Florida. 

— Name one famous Mexican American

— How many Latinos in the US are immigrants ? They are 35%

— An organization said that if Trump doesn't win the elections, they would put a taco-truck on every corner : some people answered that they found that it was a little too excessive, and some others said that they would be happy of this.

The message is conveyed thanks to this interview because it denounces the racial and ethnic stereotypes of which the Latinos American are victims. The main goal was to show that this culture and this civilization is a minority which is a still unknown by Americans.
