This is a family that consists of:

greatgrandfather whose wife has died and he has alzheimer´s. 

His daughter and her husband. They have 2 children: a 14-year old and a 18-year old

The 18-year old girl is also a mother, she has a 1-year old boy and is expecting a second child in about 6 months

There is also the 1-year old son of the 18-year old girl.

 

The mother is 37 years old. She is a young mother of a 14-year old boy and a 18-year old girl. She takes care of the family almost all by herself because her husband is working in another country. He comes home for 2 months every half a year. She works at a bank as a manager and is under alot of stress. She is at the brink of a burnout. Her realtions to her daughter and son are good, altough she was shocked when she became a grandmother at 37-years old. She loves to play tennis and goes once a week to play with her friends. 

 

The 18-year old girl who is a mother of a 1-year old boy is following her mothers foot steps of being a young mother. She had to drop out of her school because of the 2 pregnancies. Now she lives in the same house  with her own mother, her 1-year old son along her. Her boyfriend is a 19- year old construction worker with no degree in anything. He also lives with his family. She likes to go to the gym but had to drop it out of her schedule along with other sports because of the pregnancies. She has gained alot of weight and is at risk of getting type 2 diabetes. 

 

These two people need help to get rid of and cope with the stress. For example a support family activity could be implented. A support family could help with the 1- year old boy and possibly with the 14-year old boy too. The mother and her daughter could have some alone time and do what they love doing. The 37-year old mother could also be entitled to some Kela benefits because they are all living with her. Also they both could use the help of child guidance and family counselling centre. According to Kela the 18-year old is also entitled to maternity package and child benefits. Her 1-year old boy is also entitled to public day care centres accoring to the infofinland website.

 

Me, as a bachelor of social services could be involved with their lives for example as a social advisor helping them to get rid of the stress that could be dentremential to their health and inner relations. I could also be working in Kela or as a day care centre teacher of the 1-year old.
