         <description><![CDATA[<var><strong>Rule 1.</strong></var><div>&nbsp;<em>Provided</em>&nbsp;</div><div>'<em>Provided</em>' is always followed by '<em>that</em>' <br><br>&nbsp; For example: <br> He is welcome to come along, <em>provided</em> <em>that </em>he behaves himself.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br><br></div><var><strong>Rule 2.</strong></var><div>&nbsp;<em>However</em> <br>'<em>However</em>' is followed by an <em>adjective</em> or <em>adverb</em>. <br><br> For example: <br> <em>However long</em> the night is, the dawn will break.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br><br></div><var><strong>Rule 3.</strong></var><div>&nbsp;<em>Notwithstanding</em></div><ul><li>&nbsp;<em>Notwitstanding</em> = not considering/ not being influenced by/ in spite of the fact/ despite/ as long as (FUN FACT: You can replace any of these phrases instead of the word&nbsp; notwithstanding in a sentence and it will be alright provided that it is grammatically correct and appropriate for the sentence. 😉)&nbsp;</li><li>Always use commas in these types of sentences.&nbsp;</li></ul><div><br>For example:<br>&nbsp;<em>Notwithstanding</em> his nervousness<strong>,</strong> the young woman looked her interviewer directly in the eyes as she answered the questions. (Just like I would, if only we were in class😔)&nbsp;<br><br></div><var> <strong>Rule 4</strong></var><div>&nbsp;<em>Lest</em> <br><em>Lest</em> is always followed by <em>should</em>. <br><br>For example: <br> I obeyed her <em>lest</em> she <em>should</em> be angry.&nbsp;<br><br></div><var><strong>Rule 5: </strong></var><div>&nbsp;<em>But for&nbsp;</em></div><ul><li><em>But for</em> = If it had not been for/ if it were not for&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;Always use <em>commas</em> in these type of sentences.&nbsp;</li></ul><div><br>For example:<br>&nbsp;<em>But for</em> Jessica's help<strong>,</strong> you wouldn't have reached here.&nbsp;<br><br></div><var><strong>Rule 6: </strong></var><div>&nbsp;<em>Under the impression that </em><br>Believe that something is true when it isn't = Think <br><br>For example: <br>&nbsp;She must be <em>under the impression</em> it was him.<br><br><br><br></div><var><strong><em>Thank  you! </em></strong></var><div><br></div><var>😁</var><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
