I think the eighth-grade students are not receiving targeted instruction that they need, or the gaps are wider because their reading scores decreased consistently across the country.

However we notice that all races have made steady growth except for White. I think COVID might have had an impact following 2019. I wonder what the assessment includes to get these scores and does it change? I wonder if all demographics of students are included?
