The author uses Einstein as an example to challenge the idea that intelligence is fixed at birth by showing that environment influenced his skill. Since he was “slow to speak “ and “thrown out of school,” the author thinks “it certainly does not seem that he was” intelligent (Source 1 9). This detail emphasizes the fact that Einstein had to learn these skills, just like everyone else.

The Flynn's study supports the claim that nurture affects a child's intelligence. Since the 1940s, technology advancements have caused IQ to go up. For example, one person interpreted the study, saying "that the so-called Flynn effect was due to the way humans are inundated with visual images on television, in video games, and in ads” (S1 P12). This interpretation shows that exposure to certain technology in a person's environment can enhance thinking skills, supporting the idea that nurture plays a significant role in intelligence.

"[Ulric Neisser had thought the Flynn effect was because of] visual images on television, video games, and in ads. He thought [it would help others solve] the sorts of visual puzzles found in IQ tests" (paragraph 12). This can help formulate the fact that humans can develop intelligence based on what they've seen throughout their life therefore supporting the Flynn Study.

This correlation supports the idea that genetics are more responsible for intelligence than enviornment.

The Flynn study supports the nurture notion. The graph conveys information about the growth of children's IQ. Interpretations of the study discuss that media, such as videos and television, can include visual puzzles that help influence children to solve them as they watch (Source 1 Paragraph 12). These interpretations further support the notion of nurture affecting intelligence because children learn by puzzles instead of getting IQ genetically.

The study suggest that most test that focuses on intelligence correlates really well as shown by "For example, a test-taker who performs well in a verbal test is likely to perform well on a spatial or memory test. A test-taker who performs poorly on a spatial test is likely to perform poorly on a memory or verbal test."(source 1, par.6).This statement demonstrates that "most tests correlate well" because it describes a general trend where individuals who perform well on one type of test tend to perform well on other types of tests, indicating a shared underlying cognitive ability that influences performance across different test categories; essentially, a high score on one test is a good predictor of a high score on another test. Another example for a sentence that mention correlation between test's is " So not only are you given a test that examines multiple intelligences, but you are also given a test whose various components correlate well." (source 1, par.6). A test that assesses multiple intelligences and shows strong correlations between its components suggests that these seemingly diverse abilities are not entirely separate but rather are influenced by a common underlying factor, supporting the concept of a general intelligence or "g" factor.

The author uses Einstein as an example to challenge the idea of fixed intelligence at birth as " Considering that Einstein was slow to speak as a child and was thrown out of school at one point, it certainly does not seem that he was. If your level of intelligence were fixed at birth, why couldn’t you read or drive a car as a toddler" (source 2, par. 2). This sentence the example of Albert Einstein to argue against the idea that intelligence is fixed at birth by pointing out that he exhibited developmental delays early on, including slow speech and being expelled from school, which contradicts the notion that his high level of intelligence would have been evident from a young age. If intelligence were fixed, he wouldn't have been able to learn abilities like reading or driving a car as a toddler. This demonstrates that intelligence is not static and develops over time through learning and experience, rather than being solely determined by genetics at birth.
