I arrived at the faculty at 1.30 p.m. One day earlier, i went back to my home to pick up my task 1 drawing as i accidentally left it at home. The weather was scorching hot on the way to UM, so it was a huge relief when i reached the air-conditioned studio! All and all, the crit went well and we learned a lot from the mistakes that our lecturers pointed out. First thing i did was setting up the table and combine Anna's and mine drawing of floor plan. Then i wrote the measurement half way > went to the cafe, bought lunch. Anna helped me with the sketches. dadadada time flies~ Crit time! I was so nervous because the main thing that Dr wanna see is the floor plan which was also my part. I think Dr gave comments quite impressive for our team because we provide the best for our drawings. Firstly, i amended the section plans by adding the roof beam and ground beam based on the comments from the Dr Rodiah. After the section plan was completed, i checked the floor plan sketching to make sure all the information were noted in sketching. During the crit session, i was the presenter of my group progress. i just realized that all the group able to access to the building and have a completed interior dimension. I helped finish Liyana's part because she had to attend to private matters and finalised all the sketches that is to be presented during the crit session. I was a bit worried with our slow progress because most of the teams have already started with the AutoCAD drawing while our team still drawing sketches.
- Around 2.30 pm, the crit session started and I was very pleased to know that the lecturers are quite satisfied with our working method. Although it was slow, but it is the correct method and worth it since any of the other teams got crit on their work method of drawing the sketches. The lecturers also commented that our case study is similar to KK4 and KK6, hence we can compare our building layout with those two teams since we can't access the inside of the building. They also said that there is a possibility of our building being extended (renovated) since it is bigger in size compared to the others. Therefore, they asked us to determine the original shape and size of our case study.
- I felt that the crit session together with other teams were more effective since I can see their drawings and learn from their mistakes. It can be considered as a productive afternoon as I have learnt new knowledge from the comments from the lecturers regarding the sketches of the other groups.
