I was wealthy, and an elite in society. I built many public structures in Williamsburg, and was a successful contractor. As a member of the city's municipal government, I served on a committee that enforced the British embargo of goods in 1774. I had two daughters, who lived an elite lifestyle. Why would I want to change this?
