2.  Daily, yearlong instruction
Language learning needs frequent, regular exposure and practice along with time to absorb material.

          blood drives, Leadership, Homecoming parades, College
          Visits, vacations are now magnified.
         -Chronic absence  (much stronger identifier of school 
          health)
    -Student 22%

         -Teaching regression
    -Slamming in content
    -Less ability for long term projects as time is cut
    -direct instruction
    -greater reliance on homework (which will impact  
    Attendance).

    Consistent face to face time for social emotional, less learning loss, and effective instruction.

    1. Students say the problem isn’t the schedule, it’s the teacher. 
      1. Student polls are different in class.
    2. Choice is already there.
      1. Leadership, Health Occupations, Sports Psych, more SIS, Middle College
      2. Students choosing work experience, early release, late arrival.
      3. Not doing second level CTE by choice.
    3. Bad schedule will hurt the institution.
