Kentucky battle took place in Boyle County, Kentucky. The Union attacked the Confederates because the Union found out there were streams and creeks of water and the Union needed that advantage. The Union won because the Confederates fled the battle at night because they weren't prepared. This was an important battle because it gave the Union an advantage to winning the civil battle by giving them land and creeks of water.
