The dual screens/ devices meant I could display two presentations at one time - a requirement I needed to show contrast in designs!
The ability to do this is fantastic and works really well. Also being able mirror my presentation on the group table display means no one misses out if they have trouble seen the projections.
I had a few people comment on how great it was to see both presentations at one time and it made following my session much easier.

I would like to use this room for teaching marketing, design and creativity from Sept as it provides opportunities for students to develop ideas and to collaborate in activities and the asseuesnt as well as being able to deliver co-created activities that support the T&L experience. As students often have a limited attention span (not a criticism, I do too!) this offers engagement and co-creation. The room is spacious, bright and technologically driven - it is also stylish and feels like the sort of room we should be teaching in at GCU (yes the new chairs are nice!).]]> 2019-02-22 15:27:10 UTC https://padlet.com/GCUAcademicDevelopment/W201Q_A/wish/334174931 https://padlet.com/GCUAcademicDevelopment/W201Q_A/wish/334205090 What a change from the old W210/W203 I have taught in for c2 decades plus!  I have been both audience (for an excellent workshop from Laura) and tutor (MSc students).  For the MSc class students self-organised around just three of the desks/clusters on one side of the class - useful and unexpected!  I got the tech to work OK without too much hassle.  As both attendee and tutor, I agree with Laura/Calum's comments about the closer/more local screens being a help.

Cool chairs!]]> 2019-02-22 16:19:49 UTC https://padlet.com/GCUAcademicDevelopment/W201Q_A/wish/334205090 https://padlet.com/GCUAcademicDevelopment/W201Q_A/wish/334328196 It's a fantastic brightly lit, spacious, but well-designed learning environment which accommodates small group collaboration as well as cohort-wide discussions.  The local monitors and IT equipment are ergonomically well thought-out too, as it avoids students straining to view one principal screen considering the large room size.  The centrally located lecture hub with spacious cluster areas positioned around the room, also better facilitates comparable evaluations of outcomes across workgroups - altogether a more integrated setup conducive to learning and engagement, and far removed from some traditional 'lacklustre' classrooms.   It's such a refreshing change and I often pop my head in when passing just to look at the space, lighting and layout.  It's definitely an 'inspirational' room which provides students and staff with state of the art facilities.
