         <description><![CDATA[<div>Our writing approach for this unit has pulled out text features and we have built mini-lessons around these features that students can use in their own authentic approach where we can nudge them along. However, this is a genre-based writing unit and we have tried to create that balance of daily writing for agency but also bringing them towards a product. Here is our current unit structure with mini-lessons.<br><br>https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QKepULnPwC4K3ZyIlJ-abD9hIXhx8zVzhlyvJ8km9ho/edit?usp=sharing<br><br><br>Feeding forward can sometimes take away from agency especially when we want to see a product. There are multiple forces in or outside of our classroom that are difficult to negotiate/navigate that can pull us into different directions.
