In this workshop your students will explore climate action and climate activism; identify different ‘types’ of activism; discuss the ethical implications of climate activism and of inaction, debating whether there is a moral imperative to engage in climate action; and formulate a way in which they could be activists.

How climate activism is represented in the media?

To guide children through complex global challenges, we need clarity about the kind of world we are helping to create. This means grounding our teaching in fairness, solidarity and shared responsibility, and modelling the values we hope to inspire in our pupils. When we do this, we empower children not only to understand problems, but to imagine and build solutions together.
