Geography and Protective Measures

Here in Constantinople we have rather boring geography but well make up for it with our amazing defenses to keep our citizens safe. For the most part our city is flat and surrounded on three sides with water. Flat land allows us to build spaciously while still having plenty of room for our beautiful public gardens. Also there is more than one benefit to being almost completely surrounded by water. Not only is it beautiful but it also makes our city relatively easy to defend compared to most places around the world. In addition it is surrounded in thick stone and brick walls to hold back oncoming intruders. This will ensure your safety under any attack!

Government Power and Public Works

The government power in Constantinople consists of the emperor, government officials, and the emperor's advisors. Our government also works with close correlation to the church allowing for a very stable relationship between the two. Which many countries in our beautiful Europe do not have. Originally our public works were good now they're outstanding! After some brief unexpected demolition, Justinian the first rebuilt our public works like no ruler ever has. We now have eye-opening gardens complete with grand pathways and bridges. Also public baths and hospitals so all can stay clean and healthy.

In Constantinople we have jobs and entertainment. In Medieval Europe you can sell shoes on the street, make metal chains or work in or for the church. But if you are working here I promise you different options. Here we have plumbing since we have our very own sewage system. Being a priest was another option along with years of training. Must pay off though because being a priest means you are one of the highest paid people in the work force. Wanna protect Constantinople? You can be a general and protect the community. You can even be a road worker, there are many other lower class jobs as well. Want something fun to do here? Well we have got it. Come to the hippodrome and watch chariot races and polo games. Not a sports type of person? Do mosaics or ivory and metal work. Here in Constantinople there is never nothing to do. Why play bad mitton and watch archery contests when you can do this! Just think about it. Move to Constantinople today!

In Medieval Europe you were almost dominated by the Roman Catholic Church. Over the course of Medieval times the church had increasing power over many things. Including money and political power. But here in Constantinople we won't dominate you to follow our religion but we are Christian. Don't worry we still speak Eastern Roman so there won't be a change in language. Come here and I promise you will feel at home immediately.
