IN OUR SCHOOL SPORTS AND OUT DOOR ACTIVITIES ARE LARGELY PROMOTED.

WE BELIEVE THAT SPORTS AND GAMES HAVE AN IMPORTANT ROLE TO PLAY IN EDUCATION. THEY TEACH STUDENTS LIFE SKILLS LIKE TEAMWORK, LEADERSHIP, PATIENCE, IMPROVE SELF CONFIDENCE, SELF ESTEEM AND SENSE OF BELONGINGNESS.

LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOL OF S. OMERO

In our school we adopted an educational organization called DADA, teaching for learning environment.
There are classrooms dedicated to each subjects and students move to different rooms depending on school timetable. We have lockers where students keep their books and schoolbags. At 10.30 we have 15 minutes break and usually we go out side, in the school yard.

SWIMMING PROJECT

Swimming is an important activities to promote for health benefit and help students to improve social ability such us self-confidence and self-esteem.

The school organized several lesson in the nearest swimming during the school time and included the transport.

In our 1st day of Erasmus we went to the Otoćec school and some kids of 6th grades welcomed us with 3 songs about the friendship.
Then they offered us a little snack and after we divided in small groups to visit the school and we made a lot of new friends.
At midday we had lunch in the school’s canteen where we taste different food.
In the afternoon we visited Novo Mesto, a town near Otoćec, together with our corrispondents.
In the evening we went back to the hotel and we had a nice dinner.

In the 3rd day we arrived to school at 9am. We did a lot of activities with different classes. For example “rock, paper, scissors, shot”, parkour and "keep the tower". After we went to the school’s canteen for lunch. In the afternoon we played volleyball with some of our Slovenian friends. We went at Trska Gora, an hill near Otocec. Along the walk a farmer offered us some drinks and local wine to the teachers. On the top of the hill we sat on some bench and we rested. It was very tiring but it was worth it. As soon as we got back to the hotel we went to the swimming pool. After swimming we had dinner and then we went to sleep. We had a lot of fun...

We are on the six th day of Erasmus and out project Is coming yo and end.
This morning we went out early to catch the bus that would take us to visit the Postojna caves, the largest and most majestic in all of Europe.

Fourth day Erasmus in Slovenia

In the fourth morning the correspondents welcomed us with an orchestra of armonica and we were rewarded with certificate of participation and gadgets. After they showed us a video about this week activities, we went to the canteen where we ate cherries. Later we went up to the classroom and did an interesting activity where we wrote the things that we liked, didn't like and suggestions to improve about Erasmus. At 11.30 we went and went to the school yard where we played volleyball. At 12:15 we went into the canteen where we had lunch with all other students.

In the afternoon we moved to Ljubljana where we visited the centre town and the Museum of Illusion, it was very funny.

We were very happy to be in Ljubljana but also sad because we probably can't see again the Slovenian.

In the 2nd day of the Erasmus in Slovenia we went to the school when the kids of primary school welcomed us and we told our names and ages.Than we went to the camp and we had a match of volleyball with the slovenian girls. It was very funny and we like that very much. Than we had a break in the school canteen and we ate cherries and milk. After that we came back to the volleyball camp with the slovenian guys and we played together. We played dodgeball too, a sport similar to the italian one "palla avvelenata". We laughed and became friends.Than we went to had lunch and we ate a tipical "lasagna", meat and cake. We relaxing under the tree and that we walked to the hotel. We were tired and we decided to relaxing in the swimming pool and it was funny a lot. Finally we ate something as pasta, meat and cake and we went to bed.
