The evolution according to Oxford Language "is the gradual development of something", but Yuval Noah present us the idea that evolution do not make us more intelligent, Yuval Noah explains to us that we thank to experiences and necessity we become smarter. But also thanks to the necessity but to survive, it helped to domesticate animals so we could relay more in nature, that lead to the creation of our daily routines.

It explains to us the transition of human communities changing from being nomadic lifestyle (hunting) to agricultural communities; this being a point of inflection for human lives. But also explain to us how the evolution does not make us more intelligent.

Well this chapter surprised me because, I thought evolution was the one that helped us to be more intelligent, but I was incorrect was that not type of evolution it was our evolution of memories and experiences or interactions.

Thanks to agriculture, and the abuse we made of that, is when we started being consuming people and that lead to overpopulation. So why agriculture made us like that? Well, it is because it made us feel that we need to consume all as possible if we can. But also Yuval Noah touches the subject of the monumental achievements that we had, even if they had less resources; it is a big achievement because it needed a lot of planning and the connection of the society. And apart from the meaning of the structure, it also had another meaning that is reinforcing the authority and give more religious beliefs to the people.

Simple as it, the chapter talks about our how society had big achievements such as the structures they made (pyramids), and also how agriculture mad a big impact in our lives incrementing the population.

In my opinion, it is surprising how in that time people could make structures that big, without having the technology that we have nowadays. That is something that really deserve applause and recognition.

The chapter challenges the idea that the historical events that happened could have turned differently, but also they could have been inevitable. But there are two factors the if they were different the events could have changed, and it would be the geography and environmental factors. And to know this Yuval Noah use the study of genealogy that according to Oxford Languages is, “an account of the descent of a person, family, or group from an ancestor or from older forms”, he uses that study to explain more about the different historical aspects and its possibilities.

I share the same opinion with the chapter because even though the events happened differently, disasters also could happen even more frequently and also worse.

Thanks to the creation of the language, we started to processing information, then that info. is storage in our brain. But thanks to all that adding also the memories, our brain start to overload, so the brain start to eliminate the unnecessary information that was only used at a certain moment.

The thesis of this chapter, tries to reveal the examination of how human’s developed the ability of storage and process information, helping our society to move forward in different aspects. But that is also a weapon of two edges.

I really agree with the chapter, I did notice really, but now that I read the text it is true. The information that does not matter to me, or that it is irrelevant, I forget it; because it is a lot of information I do not need all that.
