Initial care: Clean by running cool water over the area and then use mild soap and water if possible. Dry with a sterile cloth. Next, apply antibiotic ointment and cover the wound with a sterile gauze bandage and medical tape. For smaller lacerations, use a self-sticking bandage for the wound.

Post Care: Depending on the severity lacerations may require sutures. if minor, clean and bandage daily, seek medical attention for deeper wounds

Post Care: Prevent further harm. Move away from whatever caused the burn. Cool the burn. Hold the area under cool (not cold) running water for 10 to 20 minutes. Remove rings or other tight items. Apply lotion. Bandage the burn. If needed, take a pain reliever.
