This year overall it is a hot mess because I am a singleton in my department and teach math classes that no one else teaches.
Last year I did have people to collaborate with, but it was the beginning of our pbj efforts and I felt like a deer in the headlights! The teachers who seemed to have it calmly figured out were not sharing as much with us old-school teachers as we needed them to! It was rough!

There are so many other things that grade level teachers need to discuss other than just assessments that we spend time trying to figure those things out in PLCs instead of assessments some times.

I know they want us to focus on CFAs and things like that, but we have other things to coordinate. We aren't given time for that, so we have to take it when we can.

We have done some group assessments so we can plan small groups between all the classes in the grade, but they are slow going and not usually a priority.

PLCs are a hot mess. My principal doesn't require us to do them this year because he is having health issues. My team does meet each Friday but we do more team planning than collect and compare data. We are trying to figure out how to assess the standards.
