When I was seven, I knew I was going to have the best year of my life when my mom said we were going to Disney World for my birthday. I got so excited and I got my mom to buy the matching Sleeping Beauty dress. I went there and wore it in all of its glory. I convinced myself that the woman in the dress was the real Sleeping Beauty and I am just as much of a princess as she is. As I get older, and the more I create, I am reminded to hold true to my childlike imagination. Children have the most incredible imagination and are fierce storytellers. If I never grow up, so be it because that means there are thousands of stories being written by my mind.

It's based on stories that people grew up with and it's brought to life in the most beautiful way. The vibrance, the cinematography and the acting is all exemplary. Additionally, the company itself is full of legendary performers and creators- Jon Favreau, Joss Whedon, Joe and Anthony Russo, Robert Downey Jr., Taika Waititi.

Stories that are real and authentic without being blatant in its purpose. A problem I see on a lot of television shows and film now is that there is such a strong focus on creating or inserting dialogue to be "woke" that it feels out of place.

In this video, it's exclusive which I love. However, the addition of "woke moment," the way that inclusivity is handled is so awkward and forced- and the audience mostly agrees. I think we as a society glorify inclusivity in performance when it's the bare minimum. It's delightful to see BIPOC, LGBT+, or disabled people have the spotlight. However, what would be even better, and my goal, is giving them meaty characters, detailed back stories and weaving them into the show just as we would any other character.

My first semester at UT Austin, I was a Theatre major. The next semester, however, I was not. I dropped the program and I decided I was going to do something more practical- like medicine or social work. Around a week or two into the new semester as a Sociology Pre-Med student, I was completely miserable and desperate to get back into the theatre program. What really inspired me was a quote by one of my professors Dr. Moore; Dr. Moore said that it doesn't matter what we study as long as we bring immense passion to it because that's what's important. Passion is what determines if you're successful. Once I got back into the program, I decided never again was I just going to give up on something I was so passionate about to focus on realistic. If there's a will, there's a way.

54 Below is one of the most famous bars in New York City. It's known for housing performers and giving them a chance to perform covers of songs. I think the art of covers is so informative. These people have so many different qualities than the original performer, yet they have their chance to put a spin on it because two people's individual work will never be identical. There will always be things that as a creator or collaborator are being brought to the table and it's important to me to remember, there is no one like you.

It's so inspirational because she was just a regular girl who got an audition and took her shot. She defied the odds and is now the Snow White in the upcoming live-action remake, and is Latina. She's representing our community beautifully and gracefully and the etiquette she's maintained from theatre and being a collaborator are commendable.

Collaboration was a massive asset because we all had different perspective on what the needs of our community were. How to plan outreach, different hard and soft skills.
