This allows for me to communicate directly with parents and for them to communicate directly with me with any issues. The time I save in regard to personal phone calls and notes is remarkable. The students can use the points to receive privileges in my class. I also created a behavior/communication log using Google Sheets. It was also shared on my team so that we could track behaviors in each classroom. It does a great job of integrating some of the functionality of Google Classroom, Attendance and Grade books. It is a nice platform for students and teachers to build off of as a learning community. Blackboard allows for planning, calendars available to students, teachers, and parents, as well as assignment turn in, grading, and grade book functions.
