He the recommended a few websites with detailed camera specs, but the one I found most beneficial was 'Micro Four Thirds'. After the talk had concluded, I was fascinated to see some examples of the 360 project. Upon heading to their website, I was greeted by an array of music videos which feature this technology. It was fascinating to watch these and experience the technology, and it showed me how innovative and unique KAVE are. During the session, the website was showcased, and clearly featured a list of activities and seminars to get involved in, each helping to develop or learn a different skill of research. The website also promotes JISC's highly, successful virtual festival 'Digifest', which further promotes the next, developing stage of learning. Reflecting on this website, it is now another incredibly useful source for me to utilise when writing reports and researching in the future. - PROAV: Showcased the importance of keeping up to date with the standards expected in the industry, and the importance of why these standards are they way they are.
- Mintel: Reinforced the importance of completing, and understanding, appropriate and suitable market research before coming up with an idea, and ensuring that it is a vital part of any workflow.
- JISC: Features a list of helpful seminars, activities and festivals for someone to get involved in to develop their skills of report and essay writing.
- KAVE: Inspires me to continue trying to make my work stand out from others, by use of its innovative technology. And I did. As someone who wants to work within the creative media sector, understanding trends and client demands is something which is very important to me. Market Research was always something which I understood, but never utilised to my advantage, and I realised this after hearing the representatives of Mintel explain just how crucial it is.
