It started out as a normal day in school. Holly, Julia, and Natasha were together throughout most of the day, laughing and being the best of friends.

In the Middle

The students had a winter dance coming up, and Holly was hoping that Aaron, her crush, would ask her, or she'd ask him. Her friend heard him talking about asking somebody, and she thought it would be Holly. She told Holly, but it turned out it wasn't her, and he ended up asking Natasha. Holly was really upset, except she wouldn't show it that often.

In the End

Holly, Julia, and Natasha all made up. Julia and Seth, her crush, are together, Natasha and Aaron are together, (which is totally okay with Holly now) and Holly is going to the spring dance with her friend, Owen.

My Personal Connection

My personal connection with the story, is that I can compare some of these things to my life. Sometimes when we have a substitute in band, he can be pretty strict as well. Also, the obvious one was my name, but I also have friend problems, and it can get pretty annoying at times. I am also in band, I just don't play french horn.

My Prediction

Since this is a series of books, the prediction will be easy. I think that they will all have a sleepover together at Holly's house, and that they will all try to compete against each other in band, and ruin their friendship. I also predict that they will all get new music in band, and it will be even more challenging than before.

What I Thought of the Book

I really enjoyed this book, yet I liked the first one better. I got through the first two books fast, and so I am already looking for the third one. It is out, but I can't find it, and there is going to be a fourth one. I am really excited, and I encourage mostly girls to read this book.
