There are so many hurricanes that have destroyed some many peoples lives and possessions. All over the US and the world these devastating natural disaster are happening. Black peoples possessions tend to be affected by these disasters. They seem to not get as much help then other people. They tend to get help after everyone has been helped.

What is White Privilege really?

This article really relates to Janie and all of the rumors that went around about her. White privilege plays a huge role in racism and a lot could probably be solved if they just got that idea out of there head. Racism is a thought that people put into action and this could all be avoided if people could just keep there thoughts to thereself. People definitely took some of the little racism comments to the next level and that was what started this whole mess. This has been going on for so many years that everyone just expects it now to be talked about. It is just like a normal trait for certain people.

Just because you are from a certain place does not mean that you lived in the poor or rough place of that location. Everything you see advertised for that place too isn't always true. People can see one area of a place and advertise that the entire location as poor and homeless people everywhere in that locationdesperately need money. One single story can start so many rumors and false advertisements. Anybody can do this and it can totally be an accident but this does cause problems when it comes to people going there and exploring themself and noticing that it all isn't in desperate need of help.

Girls are told to do all this stuff and are expected to do it right with maybe no training on how to do it at all. They are just expected to know how to do it. Or they get taught it and just expected to want to do it or be able to do it. Sewing a button on, not sing "Benna" in Sunday school and more. Everything is expected to be done with perfection no matter if you want to do it or not. In Janie's second marriage she was treated like this. She was always being told what to do and was never allowed to make any decisions for her self.

What kind of Asian are you?

This is saying anything that is labeled Asian, people that look Asian automatically relate to that in peoples minds. They are expected to be able to do whatever that race is good at to perfection. Asians are expected to be good at math. We are all related to each other by blood in some way. So everyone should stop stereotyping because we are all technically the same so that means we all have strengths and weakness no matter our race.

Movie's now a day's are usually just made for entertainment but sometimes they are there to state common problems of today. They can bring up sexism and racism and many more problems of today. They can be very obvious of the message they are trying to share or it can be hidden and viewers need to analyze the movies deeper then normal. Some people will take those movies offensive because they don't agree with them. This is why some people are scared to share there opinion because some people who might have a bigger voice then them will shut down there opinion that they might believe in as well.

Women that live in the U.S. are more likely to own there own business or live in poverty because they make so much less then men. Women need to be able to provide for them self so they do not have to rely on men or other people to provide for them. If they want they should be able to live on there own or even if they need to live on there own they should be able to. I think Janie learned this lesson over time of all her relationships. With Logan she was just doing what she was told by her grandmother and with Jody she wasn't able to do anything for herself and he did everything for her and told her what to do. Tea Cake respected Janie and her decisions and this is where she started getting her independence. She was hopefully able to live on her own after Tea Cake died.

The actresses boss demanded that she grows out her hair or doesn't get cast for this role she was auditioning for. They also demanded her to wear a dress on one of her interviews and she said after the interview "When I wear a dress, I look like a man in drag. It's just not me." This is just like when Jody required Janie to wear a head wrap at all times. She needed to cover up her hair he would say to her. After Jody died though, Janie took that head wrap off and never put it back on because that wasn't what she wanted to wear. You can force someone to wear something but you can't force them to love what you forced them to wear.

Women are given a lot less opportunities then men for higher power positions. Men are also expected to not be able to multitask and praised when they are able to do it. Women do it everyday and never praised for it and expected to be able to do it. Perceptions are poorly used with certain words based off of judgment if men or women should be able to do that. For example, taking charge, people just assume that men are more capable then women of that. Comforting is assumed that women do that more then men.

It has been proven that children when they are born and even a toddler do not know the difference between feminine and masculine traits. Boys might want to play with the pink power ranger and not feel ashamed. Girls might want to play with the tool set and fix and build things without feeling ashamed. People are to worried to upset the young child so they aren't going to say anything to them. So why does it have to change when they get older? Are we not afraid to upset them anymore? Does the feminine and masculine traits matter more now? Yes, they do learn these traits from other people but they also do them because they feel pressured from other people to have to be able to do what is common for there gender.
