I started a new series call kuroko no basuke. Its good so far but it progresses a little too fast for me. Im still reading the other book, but I'm taking a little break. I do this with a lot of books and end up forgetting them. Hopefully I don’t forget it though. Kuroko no basuke is basically about a kid named kuroko playing basketball. This is one of the few books I willingly go into knowing there’s no action. it’s a fastpaced book and would be better if I enjoyed or knew anything about basketball. Although its pace is fast it's still a peaceful book. One could even say it’s calming. While choosing the book I kind of saw the end so I know what happens, but it still is an intriguing book with many twists and turns. I have a hard time putting my phone down. Of course, I always have a hard time putting my phone down while attempting to do anything. But all and all it is a calming book, another hard part, for me at least, is it is hard to put it down in any place. What I mean is my mom calls me while I am reading and usually, I go straight down, but every time she calls me while I am reading, I’m tempted to ignore her. Not in a rude way, but I would say to myself just another page. Then that page turns into 2, then 3, then I must stop myself.

I liked being able to read whatever i wanted. If I was irritated, I could read calming books. If I was in the mood to fight, I could read something with action. Also, a whole day between reading makes me forget/not want to read anymore. Since I have English class in the middle of the day I would go home and still remember and be intrigued by the book I was reading. Also work in class didn’t take too long so the time taken away by reading wasn’t didn’t affect me doing my work by a lot. However, reading time was maybe too calming. After reading I would keep reading and forget we have other stuff to do, or I would not be in a state of mind to do other things. I guess wasting time reading in an English class is better then watching videos on my phone, so it is not all bad. By being more into the book I was reading I noticed small details I would skim over if I did not like the book. The small details I notice help me with assignments like blogs and analytical paragraphs. To make the reading program better you could have days where we talk about the books we read, or have assignments you could only do if you have read a book, like draw a picture of a situation or write an alternate ending for the book.

One theme I saw a lot and was talked about a lot in Julius Caesar was fate versus free will. On one end like Julius Caesar said we are all fated to die one day. This is very much true because not matter how much we try we can’t live forever. However, on the free will side we don’t know the way we will die and there are many possibilities that are up to use to decide. In the book a promised neverland all the kids in the farm were supposed to be eaten, but because they had free will they rebelled against this fate put on them by the higher ups and escaped. Of course, one day all of them will pass away, but that day wasn’t the one everyone thought. There are certain fates we can’t escape like ones that weren’t man made, but the one we did create for are selves are the one we can change.
