The fact that he has not even given it a name (in the novel he is only referred to as "Frankenstein's Monster") gives us an idea of what Victor's interests are: the creation of life from dead bodies, without caring too much the ethical issues or the feelings and problems of its creation. Only science mattered to him.
When Victor Frankenstein realizes the implications of what he has created, he rejects the result of his experiment and flees the laboratory. Believing that by denying what you have done, the problem will go away by itself.
Despite having been written at the beginning of the industrial revolution, the novel is a warning of the conflicts that scientific development can cause.
In fact, the rebellion of the creature against its creator (and those close to it) is a clear message of the evils that derive from the irresponsible use of technology and the unforeseen consequences of its use.
