•Pilgrimage is an opportunity to reflect. Whether in silence or conversation often we are led to reflect on the journey of our lives and our journey to God.

•Counter cultural extravagant gesture that deeply values our humanity and connection to our Creator.

•5 miles?

•Visit a ‘natural’ place (let this be your local focus) or pilgrimage from church to church

•Consider your journey back from the pilgrimage end (local bus, friends?, ride share?)

•Advertise this to others (church, small group, family, other churches etc.)

•Spend time at the end to reflect on what you have experienced (like we did with the prayers). What might God say to you through this?

•Consider a break for food (communion) with others or with God

•You can pray for local issues, environmental changes, laments in your sphere, elections

•Prayer walking doesn’t have to mean praying the whole time…set an intention (dedicate your walk and time to some local need and only talk to God when it seems warrented as you walk)

•If you are facing transition or wrestling with a decision let your thoughts, fears, concerns, questions etc. come up as you walk and seek God’s path in your decision.

•You might want to start ‘loud’ and end quiet. Starting with worship, or studying scripture. Ending in contemplation as you walk.
