I have a question: for the transfers, did they need to be laser or inkjet. Sorry I know we talked about this in class. I forget!

My first attempt. I used packing tape for the letters. Masking on the nose.

Loved this workshop. Thanks so much Ramiro. Seeing your process was so interesting. I’m intrigued with the idea of working on older pieces at a later date. I plan to dig through my stash for a series to work on. I worked on these two pieces during the session. I think I could probably add more details to both but will wait a day or two. One question .. does the acetone need to be pure for the transfers? I tried something with a nail polish remover containing acetone but it didn’t work. Thanks again. Awesome way to spend an evening. Your art is incredible

Thanks again Ramiro for sharing your process and techniques on Saturday. I had lots of great takeaways I can apply to my own practice.

The first sketch ("good dog") was my attempt at an loose, illustrative style like Ramiro's and Carla's. It was fun to try, since I am afraid to draw figuratively lol.

The second one ("useless buoys") is abstract, more like my typical style.

The third one ("dog mountain") adds some blue collage elements.

These are unfinished, but maybe they can just live that way as sketches/creative practice? Or maybe to be developed later (put in a folder - great idea)!

I have not gotten to practice or play with what we learned in the class since then. I do so much appreciate you and Carla the class.

I have a question about the masking tape, the one that matches the brown toned paper you used. I looked on Amazon and I did not see archival ones or ones that were wider than 1". If you would be willing to share the brand would be appreciated, or the link. THank you. Jill

I enjoyed the class and I let myself play without plans or judgement. This is in my watercolour sketchbook using inks for the face and borders and added some fun stickers. Thank you Ramiro❣️

Great class, wonderful inspirational ideas, here my 4 sketches. I did them with limited materials and during a long planned BBQ Party. best was the tip to use nailpolish remover for photo transfer.
