One reason why we selected this book was because we all thought that the topics and themes of this book were interesting, like the topics of immigrants and the question "What does the phrase Tiger Daughter mean?" 

Our second reason for choosing this book was this book were the messages behind it. In the description, the book often referred back to using resilience in hard situations. 

Some clues and hints that we found in the description talk about tragedy that strikes in the novel, that the main characters are struggling immigrants, and the characters try to escape their unhappy lives.

1) One of the reasons that our group chose this book was that it was likely to contain drama, and be dramatic, which is generally very enjoyable to watch, and the second reason is because it is likely to contain adventure, which is a very popular genre.

2) Something that is hinted throughout the synopsis is that the seven teens in the book are likely to be, in multiple situations, in a life or death situation, which makes for a very dramatic scene, and a good read.

3) On of the questions posed, is 'Do they end up choosing to flee?' As in the synopsis it is hinted that they will have to make a choice to either flee, of fight. Another question we have is 'What went wrong?'
