I am Christine Navarra Acanto. A native of Poblacion, Ibajay, Aklan. 

 

I am a graduate of BS in Food Technology at Visayas State University, Baybay Leyte. I took my Masters's in Home Economics at Benguet State University, La Trinidad, Benguet. 

 

I earned 27 Doctor of Philosophy in Food Science units at the University of the Philippines-Diliman Campus under the Faculty and Staff Development Committee Scholarship Program. Unfortunately, I could not finish the degree due to two pregnancies. 

 

I work at Aklan State University–Ibajay Campus, teaching food technology, food and beverage management courses under the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management. Presently, I am the Chair of Quality Assurance on the campus.

 

My hobbies include the following: 

Cooking

Reading practical tips online

Collecting stationaries and art stuff

Listening to music

 

I can speak Cebuano and Bahasa Indonesia. 

 

My Sunday is for my spiritual undertakings – regularly attending mass in the afternoon and attending ASU Healing Prayer Group Zoom Meetings in the evening.

 

My friends, colleagues, and students say I am simple, practical, jolly-good-fellow, friendly, generous, and loving. 

 

I am blessed with a good husband and two loving girls.
