Based on the video, I was particularly engaged with the ending of the Ted Ed talk and the interaction of the leopard seal with the photographer. I think it is interesting how an animal that can be so frightening (especially to penguins) shared interest in the person. I think majority of the time when this type of animal interacts with an individual it is more so in the negative response - fishing nets. But here we are able to see a captured friendship.

taking photographs shows us stuff that we probably wouldn't catch in real life. Stuff that we would miss just looking around. Taking pictures has connected us by allowing us to catch moments that we don't ever notice. and even problem we don't see. They can make great stories too

photography in my opinion is connects us by many things. if we have relative that live far away we can see what they are seeing threw photos. In a parents point of view pictures capture the moments most dear to us ex: first prom, wedding, and graduation. Photos are a main use by people to show whats important to us, they capture the beauty of the world so when were old and our memory starts to fail we have pictures to fall back on to help us remember even the tiniest of details.

Photography lets us capture the moments that people who don't travel or don't have a chance to do stuff can see what they otherwise wouldn't be able to see. It also captures the moments that you may forget. In photography you can take pictures at different angles that normally no one would notice.

A few fantastic quotes for you to ponder:
“The whole point of taking pictures is so that you don’t have to explain things with words.” – Elliott Erwitt

“There is one thing the photography must contain, the humanity of the moment. This kind of photography is realism. But realism is not enough – there has to be vision, and the two together can make a good photograph.” – Robert Frank

Taking pictures does mean something because in are life we see everything with are eyes but when you take a photo you can't take that same photo. So with animals we never hardly see the same look with animals so we have to take photos to keep that "look" that we saw. Photography contacts us by taking photos that capture what we normaly don't see

Photography really changes everything if you think about it. With out pictures we wouldn't know what anything looks like as well as anywhere in the world. We wouldn't know what other places in the world or country look like we would be in the dark. We wouldn't have a clue about anything in the past. It also lets you capture moments and people.

Photography connects us in many ways. The first way it connects us is because there are so many forms of photography that we can each connect with the different aspects of the photo taken. The second way that it connects us is because is that photography has no rules and so you can really express yourself through your phtots
