I know a little about the historical practice of segregation in U.S. public schools.
Three Facts:
1. Segregation damaged the souls of black people and made them feel inferior.
2. Some white people disagreed with the practice of segregation, but they were often met with resistance.
3. Black students who attended segregated schools inherited cheaper equipment, raggedy books and delapidated buildings.
4. "Separate but equal" was a law in name only.
Three Questions:
1. Why did white people think they were better than black people?
2. Why couldn't legislators discern that segregation was unfair?
3. Are their other cultures and countries that experience segregation?

I know some historical practice of segregation for U.S public schools.

1. Segregation is the separation between races. African Americans were not allowed to go to places that whites went. Such as schools, buildings, bathrooms, and more. Little Rock 9 was a historical event about teenagers not being able to attend white only schools. They went inside of the school when they were not supposed to and sat in a classroom waiting to be taught. The military had to protect them from whites throwing stuff at them because they didn’t want blacks in their schools.

2. Segregation was a big thing for African Americans because they were segregated until 1964.

3. African Americans fought for equal rights and were treated badly. For example, the Civil Rights Act was when Dr. Martin Luther King made a speech on the Lincoln Memorial. He made the I have a dream speech, the most famous speech in African American history. He changed the world for segregation to end.

Three questions:
1. Why did whites feel like they had to separate African Americans?

2. What if African Americans destroyed whites buildings and treated them badly?

3. How much African Americans did they kill and why did whites not care for police brutality of killing blacks?
