Today Charlie is a little above a neutral mood. He was just introduced to writing Progress Reports. They are his new ways of expressing himself his feelings and his actions in each day. I chose Bachs menuet in G major to represent his feeling of not being overjoyed but not sad either. This piece is one of Bach's first few and it is rather short like his progress report for this day. He wants to be smart and Mrs. Kinnian says he could be which makes him happy.

I chose Bachs Prelude and Fugue in C-minor to express Charlie's feelings for these 2 days. It is one of Bachs later pieces specifically his 847th. It is difficult and confusing in many ways you could not describe. It represents Charlie's subtle anger and frustration from not being able to properly complete the raw shok test. This pieces happy parts correlate to Charlies joy of being told that he is ms Kinnians bestist pupil. The fast parts correlate to his mixd feelings of having to make up stories about the pepul in the picturs.

Muzio Clementis sonatina in C Major is in correletion with Charlie's moods in order throughout these 2 dates. It starts with happines from getting chosen for the operashun. Then it moves on to frustration from losing to Algernon all the time and getting zapped. And it finally ends with the curiosity of what he will eventually be like as a smart person. This sonatina is the first part of Clementis 36th piece and it is his most popular. Even when played properly this piece really feels like one of Charlies amazeds.

For the dates between March 15 and 19 I chose AIs Sick of it to represent Charlies feelings. This song is a parody to KSIs Thick of It and it was made as a joke. The line Low IQ They Say But You Know How It Goes relates to Charlies low Eye-q of 68. The line Im getting Sick Of It contrasts to how Charlie is really getting sick of the progress reports and puzzles he has to do. The line From The Tweet To The Ring, To The Three To Lunchly correlates to how Charlies has already began to change. He is starting to realize more and more as his emotions and feelings are getting more complex.

Bachs prelude number 8 in F Major highlights Charlies joyful feeling in the dates between March 23 and 25. This prelude comes later than the prelude and fugues from before and it is Bachs 927th piece. It is as happy as Charlie is whenever he is finally able to go back with his friends and work again. Its joy also relates to Charlies relief when he finds out the Algernon beats him because he got the operashun too. Charlie makes everyone laff but doesnt know that his frends are actually making fun of him. This piece expresses his naivete very well.

Muzio Clementis sonatina in G Major is great at expressing Charlies moods between the dates March 28 throught April 3. This Sonatina is the second part of Clementis 36th piece and it isnt as famous. Its exposition captures Charlies subtle confusion for why he needs a TV for when he is sleeping. The development correlates to how Charlie is mad at Ms. Kinnian for not coming to see him during the operashun. It also shows his frustration of not being able to sleep because of the TV. Finally the recapitalation of the sonatina captures his confusion for why he had such a bad headache but also the fun he had at the party. This piece is very complex.

Mozarts Sonata number 16 correlates to Charlies different experiences in these few days. This piece is one of Mozarts latest and most famous works and one often hears them in the backgrounds of some Youtube shorts. It mostly relates to April 6 when Charlie gets so excited when he beat Algernon. This happiness also acts in interest when Charlie is reading a new book. This pieces sad parts however relate to how Charlie feels bad for Algernon since he always has to go through a puzzle to be able to eat. He also feels bad for Robinson Crusoe (the character in the book) because he is lonely and doesnt have anybody with him. This sonata also reflects on his confusion of how to write and pronounce specific words like enough or tough.

Charlie is as happy as this piece because he is starting to learn a lot. The Italian Polka is one of Rachmaninoff's more famous pieces, and it is rather difficult just like all of his works. All of the quick chords and movements are as jumpy as Charlie is when he first uses punctuation. The first part of the piece; which is in d! minor, expresses Charlie's? curiosity and: confusion. These feelings arose, from him wanting! to find out more about? Robinson Crusoe, and why Mrs; Kinnian wants to see' his progress reports. The second! part, which is in d Major, expresses? the fun Charlie is having when using the punctuation: he' was taught.

There isn't a better piece describe Charlie's feelings in these few days than Bach's prelude and fugue in A minor. This piece is one of Bach's most beautiful compositions, and it was eventually revised by Franz Liszt. In these few days, Charlies has been feeling terrible. It all began of April 18, with him realizing that he was using punctuation all wrong, and he brought himself down for it. Later, he feels sick inside, and feels even worse when he finally learns that his so called "friends" call him over just to make fun of him. The speed and depth of the prelude can depict Charlie's complex and harsh emotions.

Rachmaninoff's prelude in C# minor is his second most famous, if not, his #1 most famous piece. I chose this prelude because of how well it relates to Charlie's anger and loneliness for these few days. The order of this piece is somewhat off from Charlie's harsh feelings, but they are relatable. The recapitalation expresses his anger of having to go through the Rorshach test. It also reflects on how "feeble-minded" Charlie used to be, as he is much smarter now. The softer parts of this prelude express his loneliness. All of his work partners have began to avoid him because they have not accepted the new Charlie.

Bach's Badinerie in B minor from his 1067th Composition is an absolute masterpiece. I chose this piece to represent Charlie's feelings for the dates between April 27 and 30 because of how immersive it feels compared to Charlie's life. One can feel a lot of the development in this piece, as it starts softly but goes on to great heights, just like Charlie. Now, Charlie is begining to learn more each day, and realizes more about the people who are around him. He is also starting to realize how smart he has become, and has turned into someone else, he is not Charlie anymore. The sadness in Badinerie develops just like Charlie's when he gets fired from work due to his terrible attitude.

What better composition is there to put into Charlie's playlist than the one that he has been listening to these couple of days. It is one of his later pieces, which Beethoven wrote when his was completely deaf. The movements feel almost creamy but organized when Dobermann himself played it, as if Charlie really did find an equation in it. I feel that this piece avoids its full potential, seeing how it is called "emperor". It avoids it nearly the same way as Charlie avoids conversations about difficult topics and does not want to use very difficult words when writing/typing. The concierto finds itself in a glorified position, like how Charlie used to see Dr. Strauss and Nemur as extremely intelegent.

Without knowing the name of this composition, you can still tell that it is the #1 most famous classical piece ever made. I chose Ludwig van Beethoven's Fur Elise to compare to how Charlie spent his day on May 20. Right of the bat, you can tell that the dramatic section (part 3) is what represented his time at the diner. His furiosity could clearly be seen, and it is the first time we have seen something like this from Charlie. The repetition of the main theme, which goes E d# E d# E B D C A reminds one of how Charlie feels when he sees the mentally challenged kid, as it is the first time he could compare his new self to his old self. The second part of the composition relates to his wonders of what might be possible if this opperation was used on people of average IQ.

Bach's short prelude #2 in C minor well correlates to Charlie's emotions in these 2 weeks. Again, it is one of his later pieces, which means he had much more time to think it through and make it as fascinating as possible. Though it is not as intriguing as Bach's other preludes, it is able to capture the begining of Charlie's regression back down to his former self. Its sadness relates to how Charlie is figuring out that the effects of the opperation are temporary. The second part, after the reprissa, can be seen with a clear start but a troubled ending. It captures Charlie's motivation for finding out if and why Algernon is starting to get dumb.

Sonata #14, commonly reffered to as "Moonlight" Sonata (which is a name that Beethoven did not make) perfectly describes Charlie's mood for these 2 weeks. Charlie has become very sad, especially through his research. He has completed his report known as the "Algernon-Gordon Effect" through which he has figured out that people who have become smart through brain surgery will eventually go back down to their original intellegence level. What's even worse is that Algernon died on June 8, worsening Charlie's state of emotion. He is getting more and more absent-minded and is barely able to read the books he was able to finish in less than a day. This sonata captures not only Charlie's sadness, but also the reader's emotions after observing what has happened to him.

The complexity and weight of the fugue hit one's mind as hard as the "fugues of amnesia" hit Charlie. This composition is known as the vampire song, and I can definently tell why that is. Charlie has gotten sick, but it is for real this time, and way worse. The dramatic section of the toccata and the main theme of the fugue describe Charlie's failed fight against his mental regression. The lighter sections of the fugue correlate to how he has begun to give up.

However, it feels that there is one thing mission from it, but no one can really tell what it is. This is what Charlie's writing feels like now just missing all of its punctuation. The real Charlie is coming back slowly but surely. The joy from the second part of the composition captures his return very slightly as he is only a bit happier than before. There is still a bit of realization left in him but like the repetition of this pieces main theme it will go away soon.

It has finally occured the old Charlie is back and he has become as simple as this menuet. Like Bachs Menuet in G Major this piece is one of his first 200s specifically his 115th. He has lost his anger and most of his realization of what is actually happening around him. Not only has he lost his knowledge of punctuation but also the words he knew and the spelling of the ones he still remembered. The only reason why I picked a piece in a minor scale to represent the product of his regression is because it really is sad to see. This menuet by itself is nothing special but it shows a big change in Charlie compared to the complexity of the other songs he might have listened to.
