I decided to go instead because I haven’t seen my friend in so long, and it turned out to be one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. It made me want to do more for the people and have a deeper sense of compassion and love.

We fail to realize that there are two sides to a coin and we leave ourselves vulnerable to negativity. When we are on the road, we are quick to fault others for their behavior. Why is this person driving too slow? Why is this person driving too fast? We end up calling others all sorts of things and in the heat of the moment, we fail to be empathic. We fail to consider that the other person may be tired from a long day of work or could be rushing a loved one to a hospital. Whatever the reason may be, being understanding is the first step one can take to making more loving decisions.
