1) Exercising can help you:
These benefits include improved thinking ability or cognitive ability among children 6 to 13 years of age and fewer short-term feelings of anxiety among adults. Getting regular physical activity can help keep your thinking, learning, and judgment skills strong over the years. It can also reduce your risk of depression and anxiety, as well as help you sleep better.
2) Maintaining your weight helps you:
Aim to gradually work your way up to 150 minutes a week of moderate aerobic activity (for example, 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week). There is solid scientific evidence that shows that physical activity can help us maintain our weight over time. But it's not yet clear exactly how much physical activity is necessary to achieve this since it varies greatly from person to person. You may need to do more than 150 minutes of moderate activity a week to maintain your weight.
3) The advantages of not using drugs:
In the way that you have benefits by not consuming drugs, your body would feel much better since drugs are very bad because they have a very strong substance that makes your body feel strong, with very high blood pressure and having these symptoms worsens your mental, physical, emotional and social health, also becoming addicted to drugs would affect your life a lot because your mind would find itself alone or without a solution to your problems. Also by getting the drug inside your body you become more aggressive with people who they surround you.

1) Drop in blood pressure.
2) Less risk of stroke.
3) Less risk of injury to the brain and cerebellum.
4)Vitamin needs covered.
5)Improvement of the senses of taste and smell.
6)Less tooth damage.
7)Promotes rehydration

How does mental health help us and how does it affect us:
Throughout life, multiple individual, social and structural determinants can combine to protect or undermine our mental health and change our mental health situation.
Individual psychological and biological factors, such as emotional abilities, substance abuse, and genetics, can make people more vulnerable to mental health conditions.
Exposure to unfavorable social, economic, geopolitical, and environmental circumstances, such as poverty, violence, inequality, and environmental degradation, also increases the risk of mental health conditions.
Risks can manifest themselves at all stages of life, but those that occur during sensitive periods of development, especially early childhood, are particularly detrimental. For example, harsh parenting and corporal punishment are known to harm children's health, and bullying is a major risk factor for mental health conditions.
Protective factors also occur throughout life and increase resilience. These include individual social and emotional skills and attributes, as well as positive social interactions, quality education, decent work, safe neighborhoods, and social cohesion, among others.
Mental health risks and protective factors are found in society at different scales. Local threats increase the risk for individuals, families and communities. Global threats increase the risk for entire populations; These include economic downturns, disease outbreaks, humanitarian emergencies and forced displacement, and the growing climate crisis.
Each risk or protective factor has limited predictive power. Most people do not develop mental health conditions even if they are exposed to a risk factor, while many people with no known risk factors develop a mental health condition. In any case, the determinants of mental health, which are related to each other, contribute to improve or undermine mental health.

Waking up:
When you wake up in the morning you feel relaxed, calm thinking about your day in which way you plan to prepare your things that you have in routine, like after going for a walk and stretching your body so that your body does not feel tired after exercising.
At night, the effectiveness of planning from the night before is due to the fact that we have a limited amount of willpower and ability to make decisions for each day. The very thought of making too many decisions in the morning will slow you down and your brain will be exhausted for the rest of the day. If you can avoid making decisions in the morning, you'll have more energy and time to make the most productive morning possible!.
Make your daily to-do list the night before like Kenneth Chenault. Add to the idea that your morning routine can start after noon: Choose your clothes. Prepare your lunch and backpack for work. Do you want to read a book in the morning? Pick it out the night before and put it somewhere so obvious it's the first thing you'll see when you wake up. If you want to exercise in the morning, you can sleep with your sports clothes on.
People in a hurry:
Are you one of those who has a coffee in a hurry and rushes off to work? Do you need your good portion of toast, fruit, milk, orange juice and cereals because if you don't, you won't pay? Do you go for streaks? Be that as it may, you will have heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, especially if you are watching your weight, and perhaps including foods that are not very healthy on your plate can cause your joy to end in a well.
Reactions of your physical activity:
Physical activity stimulates several brain chemicals that can make you feel happier, more relaxed, and less anxious.
You may also feel better about how you look and about yourself if you exercise regularly, which can boost your confidence and improve your self-esteem.
Regular physical activity can improve muscle strength and increase endurance.
Exercise supplies oxygen and nutrients to the tissues and helps the cardiovascular system work more efficiently.

How you can protect your social health:
Connecting with friends, family and relatives is one of the best and most comforting sensations. It is also a strategy to combat social isolation and loneliness, helping to maintain better physical and mental health.
To identify if you should improve your social practices, you should start by evaluating these risk factors: you live alone without having close friends, family or a support network; your home is remote or unsafe, lack of transportation, exposure to domestic or community violence; psychological and cognitive challenges or mobility problems or sensory impairment. These circumstances can contribute to a situation of social isolation and the development of a feeling of loneliness.
Then, devise strategies to counteract them and improve your quality of life. Identify your tastes and the activities you enjoy and can do.

We recommend you:
Get moving: Exercise decreases stress, improves mood and increases energy.
Connect: Schedule time each day to connect with family, friends, and neighbors in person, by phone, email, video chat, or social media.
Enjoy: Restart an old hobby.
Learn: Take a group class to learn something new.
Participate: Participate in the activities that are advertised in shopping malls, in your building or urbanization, or in town squares.
Help: Become a volunteer to help others in your community.
Adopt: If possible and you can take care of it, adopt a pet. Animals can be a source of comfort and can also reduce stress and blood pressure.
Play team sports:
It has been shown that exercising or playing a sport improves not only physical health, but also emotional health, provides a greater sense of well-being and increases self-esteem thanks to social interaction. Practicing a sport or exercise on a regular basis increases endorphins and improves your mood remarkably, which allows you to promote and improve your social skills and reduce the time of isolation and loneliness.
If you are looking to meet people or even make friends, we suggest some ideas so that sport is a good opportunity to socialize and make friends with whom you can share hours of effort:
Group classes in the gym
There are many activities that gyms offer to practice in a group. Try an aerobics, spinning, kickboxing, or Pilates class at the gym. Classes tend to be on a regular schedule, and you'll likely be with the same group of people. Exercise can sometimes feel like it's boring and routine, but if you meet new friends you might find the motivation to keep going with your exercise routine. Exercising in a group is very motivating and we also expand our social circle.
Risks that your body runs when using drugs:
Drugs impact multiple spheres, affect economic and social development,1 increase health care costs by being associated with injuries and more than 60 infectious (i.e., HIV, hepatitis B and C) and chronic (cirrhosis, cardiovascular, , cancer, mental illness, etc.).2 They have a visible manifestation in different forms of violence that may be associated with organized crime, with criminal activities linked to the acquisition of drugs on the illegal market or induced by intoxication with psychoactive substances .3. 4
According to Babor,5 there are types of problems that define the situation of different countries in terms of drug trafficking, internal consumption and public policies. Thus, for example, the United States defines its problem as a matter of criminal justice, has very high levels of consumption, both occasional and problematic, low level of trafficking, high levels of violence, and very high levels of crime attributed to drug users. Mexico, which defines it as a national security problem, has lower rates of occasional and problematic consumption, very high levels of trafficking and violence, but the crime that can be attributed to users is still low.
Addressing this complex phenomenon implies influencing the supply and its consequences, the demand and its implications, and the context, which includes a culture that validates violence as a mechanism to resolve conflicts. The problem cannot be understood if the supply and demand components are not integrated, it has a unique character, it forces us to learn from its history and seek our own solutions.
The benefits of having a balanced weight and the consequences of being overweight:
In what benefits having a balanced weight in social health is that you can do things like sports, exercise with your friends (or) since you find yourself in well-being conditions, being in good condition you can go out and enjoy your body stretches with your friends.
Also in what benefits having a balanced weight is that you can look with faction, that is, with you you can elaborate things with more flexibility.
It is very common for obese people to suffer from different psychological disorders, such as depression, low self-esteem and eating disorders. At the same time, they are also the target of discrimination that affects their quality of life in different ways and lastingly.
In society, overweight and obese people are stigmatized and suffer from rejection and discrimination due to their weight. Participation in activities of daily living contributes to individual and collective well-being and health.
Benefits of sleeping well and risks of not sleeping well for social health:
"Sleep maintains all aspects of the body in one way or another: energy and molecular balance, as well as intellectual function, alertness and mood," explains Dr. Merrill Mitler, a sleep expert and neuroscientist at the NIH.
So sleeping well helps to have greater concentration, creativity, to retain information, as well as to increase productivity. A restful night's rest also keeps the effects of depression, heart problems at bay and protects the immune system.
Sleep is important for overall health. When you don't get enough sleep (sleep deprivation), you can feel tired and affect your performance, including your ability to think clearly, react quickly, and form memories. This can lead you to make bad decisions and put yourself in risky situations. People who do not sleep well are more prone to accidents.
Sleep deprivation can also affect your mood, causing:
Irritability
Problems in their relationships, especially for children and adolescents
Depression
Anxiety
Long-term sleep deprivation also increases the risk of obesity, diabetes, and heart and blood vessel (cardiovascular) disease. How much sleep do you need to strengthen your immune system? The optimal amount of sleep for most adults is seven to eight hours of good sleep per night.

Involve him (when appropriate) in setting family rules and consequences.

healthy relationships

Adults can help tweens develop skills by modeling and talking about what a healthy relationship looks like. Healthy relationships take work, but helping a teen learn good relationships is a lesson that can last a lifetime.

It's important to remember that while adults have years of experience navigating relationships—friendly, professional, or romantic—this is new territory for tweens. Talk about your own experiences; share both successes and failures to help the child appreciate how difficult relationships can be. Be sure to highlight how you handled the end of past relationships.

Healthy relationships share certain characteristics that teens need to learn. It is important that young people are able to recognize the signs of unhealthy relationships, before they escalate. Help the child practice having difficult conversations at home.
They are the tools a person needs to be able to communicate, learn, meet their needs in healthy ways, make friends, stay safe, and develop healthy relationships. As they have new life experiences, tweens need reminders about what social skills to use or develop. Allow for failure and train them on how to solve problems by focusing on their independent abilities. Developing these skills will take time and practice; however, you can be an exemplary role model for the child.

Encourage communication and face-to-face contact with the child. This will help you develop skills in recognizing people's mannerisms, build confidence in social situations, and help provide a connection between your peers and others.

Here are some tips for face-to-face communication. In a digital world, the pre-adolescent child may need to be specifically trained in these skills.

Active listening. Paying attention to what the other person is saying, acknowledging what they are saying, and responding to them helps keep conversations going.

Give time to the person you are with. Limit distractions like your phone or device and remove your hearing aids.

Practice proper eye contact when communicating with others.

Practice interrupting and disagreeing with others politely. When this goes on for a long time, it can lead to chronic inflammation (overactive or prolonged release of substances that can damage tissue) and reduced immunity (ability to fight disease). This increases the risk of chronic diseases and can leave a person more vulnerable to some infectious diseases.

Social isolation and loneliness can also be detrimental to brain health, having been linked to poorer cognitive function and increased risk of dementia, especially Alzheimer's disease . Also, little social activity and being alone most of the time can contribute to a decreased ability to perform everyday tasks such as driving, paying bills, taking medication, and cooking.

Benefits of sleeping well for emotional health:
We recover immunity: during sleep, our immune system recovers and regenerates . Thanks to this regeneration, during wakefulness, the body will be able to better control and combat foreign agents that threaten our health.
We optimize memory functions: during sleep, the brain strengthens neural connections . During one of the sleep phases, the place where memory is stored, known as the “ hippocampus ”, is restored and gives rise to the so-called “ long-term memory ”.
Improves mental health: both melatonin and serotonin production are associated with sleep and are optimized in it, since the body is in a state of complete relaxation. The production of these substances decreases the effects of stress , which can cause anxiety or depression problems .
It makes us more creative: during sleep, and since memory functions continue to operate, creativity and imagination increase considerably.
Avoid obesity: sleeping well is essential when it comes to maintaining a healthy weight . During sleep, adipocytes generate less leptin, so appetite is suppressed . When you don't sleep well, an opposite reaction is caused in the stomach, which can lead to obesity.
Advantages of eating well and disadvantages for emotional health:
Food and emotions are closely linked and this is demonstrated by the fact that when eating a sweet we generally feel more relaxed and better, we have also said that there are foods that by stimulating the release of serotonin help us feel better.

On the other hand, a healthy diet helps us feel good , because in the intestine there are many nerve terminals that send information to the brain and therefore, preventing intestinal disorders as well as eating a good quality diet helps us keep the emotions . Eating a diet sufficient in micronutrients, with a good amount of soluble fiber, probiotics and water , is pampering our digestive system and the body's second brain.

In contrast to this complex relationship, we can say that a poor diet can cause depression , so much so that it is known that a diet low in antioxidants, rich in trans fats and low in micronutrients can give rise to an altered emotional state.
A diet rich in fat throws our biological clock out of control , preventing adequate sleep reconciliation, which is known to cause stress and emotional discomfort. As we can see, there is a closed circle that links food to emotions.

It is a dynamic relationship, since both food affects our emotions and vice versa . In order for our health to be the one that obtains the greatest benefit from this relationship, clearly neither should predominate over the other, but there must be a balance.
So that eating is not purely emotional, that is, so that the cause of our intake is not always found in emotions, but rather that our food consumption is more adjusted to real hunger, we must understand that food brings pleasure and is a stress reliever but it does not solve our problems and only calms anxiety temporarily.

If we are distressed and look for food, let us think that it will not be the solution to this emotion, but that we can resort to other pleasurable activities that do not involve the consumption of food, such as reading, listening to music, walking, talking with a friend, among others.

If we allow our body to enter food before each emotion, we will end up with an excess of calories that can trigger obesity in the long term.

But if, on the contrary, we repress our desire to eat something sweet from time to time, we will also be altering the balance between emotions and food , because when we finally allow ourselves to eat a cake, we will not enjoy it and after eating it, we will feel guilty for having done it, when It's totally normal to feel pleasure from a bit of candy.

So, to establish a balance that does not harm our health, we must control eating based on emotions and at the same time, we must allow ourselves from time to time to eat for pleasure, enjoying a tasty and emotionally charged preparation, but if we return to habitual this act that it links emotions and food, we can fall into a harmful circle for the organism.
Benefits of exercising and disadvantages of not exercising for emotional health:
First let's review the benefits of sport, some of these are:

Weight control. Along with a balanced diet, sport plays an essential role in controlling the weight of any person and, therefore, in the prevention of obesity.

Reduces risk of diseases. Mainly from diseases related to the heart, since exercise strengthens this organ and improves circulation thanks to the increase in blood flow that raises the oxygen levels of the body. It also reduces the risk of colon, breast, uterine and lung cancer.

Balance the sugar . Exercise can lower blood sugar and help insulin work better.

Help quit smoking. By exercising the body, the individual releases the well-known "happiness hormones" (dopamine), these reduce anxiety and help suppress withdrawal symptoms.

Improves mood. For almost the same reasons as the previous point, keep in mind that this also helps to deal with stress as well as reduce the risk of depression.

Avoid aging. We do not mean that exercise is the fountain of youth, but it does stimulate the body to release proteins and other chemicals that help improve the structure and function of the brain, so you will not have memory problems, for example, or learning, typical of aging.

Strengthens bones and muscles . If you carry out the exercise regularly, your bones as well as your muscles will become stronger, since it prevents the loss of bone density (common as the years advance).

These are just some of the benefits that are achieved when you exercise regularly, from what you can see, they are really important advantages that have a lot to do with daily life.
The real disadvantages are rather when you do not exercise , some of the cons of not practicing sports regularly are:

Tendency to diseases such as obesity.

Decreased joint mobility and abilities, as well as muscle hypotrophy.

Creation of varicose veins by accumulating blood at one point.

It benefits the generation of hypertension, diabetes and metabolic syndrome.

Ways in which stress affects and helps emotional health:
The impact of stress on health can be significant both physically and emotionally. Consider the following effects of stress:

Colds, flu, viruses and other illnesses

Depression and anxiety

Fatigue

Headache

Problems or heart attacks

Insomnia or interrupted sleep

irritability and anger

Eat excessively

Pain

stomach and gastrointestinal problems

substance use

Concentration problems

As WebMD points out, many of us are so used to feeling stressed that we don't even recognize the various symptoms and how they can manifest in our minds and bodies. However, 75 to 90 percent of doctor visits are for stress-related ailments and problems, and 43 percent of adults experience adverse physical and emotional effects due to stress.
The physical symptoms of a high stress level can be different for each person, but the following are some of the most common:
low energy/fatigue;
Headaches;
upset stomach (including diarrhea, constipation, and nausea);
muscle pains;
chest pain;
rapid heart rate;
insomnia;
frequent colds and infections;
loss of sexual desire and/or capacity;
nervousness and shaking;
Ringing in the ears;
dry mouth;
difficulty to swallow;
tense jaw and gnash teeth.
Most people are aware of the emotional changes they can feel when they are stressed, but other symptoms can also include:
feeling upset, frustrated, or grumpy very easily;
feeling overwhelmed or out of control;
inability to relax;
low selfsteem;
feelings of hopelessness, worthlessness, or depression;
avoid social interaction.
In addition to causing these emotional and physical symptoms, stress can even change the way you think and cause unhealthy mental habits, such as negative thoughts, incessant racing thoughts, and constant worry.
The effects of stress on the body
Chronic stress (high levels of stress over long periods of time) can have significant long-term health consequences. Healthline reports that when people have elevated stress levels for longer than the body needs, every system in the body has the potential to be affected. Some of the possible long-term effects of chronic stress are:
mental health problems, such as depression, anxiety, and personality disorders;
withdrawing or isolating oneself from social life or from loved ones or friends;
cardiovascular problems, such as heart disease, high blood pressure, heart attack, and stroke;
obesity or eating disorders;
menstrual problems or irregular periods;
skin and hair problems, such as eczema, acne, and hair loss; digestive problems, such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gastritis, or irritable bowel syndrome.

IN the way drugs affect our emotional health:
All drugs can have some effect on mental health," says the psychiatrist, who specifies that they can trigger a mental disorder or aggravate a pre-existing disorder. They are often associated with affective disorders (depression, anxiety...) and, in more serious cases, with psychotic disorders . However, the effects are variable according to each drug.
Alcohol : This one has some organic risks known to all. It is often used as an escape route and has a direct disinhibition effect. However, the after effect is depressing. "If there is a basic depressive picture and there is a tendency to consume alcohol to disconnect, what we do is aggravate it." If no such prebox exists, you can trigger it.

Cannabis : "Many studies show the relationship between psychotic mental disorders with cannabis use," says the psychiatrist. The investigation Relationship between drug use and predisposition to have schizophrenic spectrum disorders, by professors from the University of Almería García Montes, Zaldívar Basurto, Moreno Montoya and Flores Cubos, concludes that "people who show a profile of risky consumption when alcohol and cannabis also present higher levels (scores) of schizotypy” (the set of personality characteristics related to schizophrenia).

Another study concludes that the presence of a certain genotype (ATK1) influences the psychotic risk associated with cannabis. All these studies corroborate the practical experience of Dr. Pérez: "The majority of young patients admitted for psychotic disorders have associated cannabis use."

However, the relationship between cannabis use and psychotic disorders (particularly schizophrenia) has been the subject of a long and unfinished debate. The nuance is: Does consumption trigger the disorder or is it that many psychotic people resort to the anxiolytic effect of cannabis? "The cause-effect has not been proven," says the expert.

Consumption can also be a trigger for a first psychotic episode to evolve into schizophrenia in the long term. However, there are exceptions. “It is rare, but there are people who are very susceptible to toxins who may present an acute episode or isolated symptoms, and when consumption is stopped, they disappear.”

Cocaine : is an exciting that generates a very fast addiction. Influencing consumption and maintaining abstinence is complicated, says the psychiatrist. "That is why it is related to anxiety problems and depressive symptoms," says the specialist. It may also be related to psychotic pathologies.
Ways emotional health feels right with your weight balance:

It is recommended that adults maintain a BMI between 18 and 25, with a BMI greater than 25 indicating overweight, and greater than 30 indicating obesity, Cox explained in a statement.

You don't need to diet to keep your weight off as fad diets fail because they lead to a cycle of weight loss and gain. Cox recommends eating a good diet with colorful fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and low-fat dairy products.

The benefits that result from having a healthy weight are:

1. Reduces the risk of heart disease and stroke.

2. Reduces the risk of diabetes.

3. Reduces the risk of developing cancer.

4. Reduces the risk of suffering from gallbladder diseases, gallstones and gout.

5. Improves sleep, and allows your lungs to fully expand and allow you to breathe deeply.

6. Reduces the risk of suffering from sleep apnea.

7. Increases motivation to exercise and get involved in physical activities.

8. Improves mood and emotional health, and decreases stress-related hormones.

9. Increases energy and improves mobility.

10. Protects against age-related diseases, including dementia, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis.

Benefits of having an emotional mind:
Emotional health is an important part of overall health. People who are emotionally healthy are in control of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. They are able to face the challenges of life. They can keep problems in perspective and bounce back from setbacks. They feel good about themselves and have healthy relationships.

Being emotionally healthy does not mean that you are happy all the time. It means that you are aware of your emotions. You can deal with them, whether they are positive or negative. Emotionally healthy people also feel stress, anger, and sadness. But they know how to handle their negative feelings
Why is it important to have good emotional health:
Six out of ten Peruvians have suffered episodes of stress during their lives, according to a survey by the Integration Institute conducted among 2,200 people in 19 departments of the country during 2015. In addition, it is known that close to one million 700 thousand people suffered from depression in Peru, according to the latest study by the National Institute of Mental Health Honorio Delgado-Hideyo Noguchi, last 2014 (on average, 65% of people do not ask for help). What is happening with emotional health in Peru?

Depression and stress affect our emotional health and generate all kinds of consequences, such as lack of productivity at work and in the classroom, muscle pain, decreased self-esteem, increased anxiety and other serious problems, ranging from loss of appetite (with which other diseases originate), neuronal damage and even death.

Having optimal emotional health means that you can understand, overcome and control these problems. A person with good emotional health is aware of their thoughts, feelings, emotions, routines and behaviors, capable of coping with stress and other problems that are part of a normal life. In addition, they have healthy relationships with those around them.

Emotions directly affect your body. A very anxious person may suffer from high blood pressure or a stomach ulcer. Emotions are psychophysiological responses that are later transformed into feelings. Therefore, they function as "discharges" in a short period of time that, when combined with your will, your experience and other factors, give rise to feelings.

Thus, a person with good emotional health is able to regulate these discharges or short emotions without losing control so as not to be affected. For example, when you lose your job or fail a course you can enter a period of anxiety or depression, or overcome it and understand that it is time for a change to improve your situation.

There are some practical tips that will help you improve your emotional health. For example:

Get enough sleep, between seven to eight hours of sleep.

Have proper nutrition. It will give you more energy and improve your mood.

Exercise. It is a good way to release tension and anxiety.

Walk at least 15 minutes a day. Clear your mind of negative things.

Limit stimulants like coffee or energy drinks. In the long term they have negative consequences for your body. Also alcohol or tobacco.

Additionally, it is important to talk to the people around you and achieve a state of peace, maintain a balance between your daily responsibilities and the things you like, and pay attention to your feelings and problems without letting them accumulate. If you can't handle them, you should see a health professional.

Consequences of not having good emotional health:
Poor emotional health can weaken your body's immune system. This makes you more prone to colds and other infections during emotionally difficult times. Also, when you feel stressed, anxious, or upset, you can't take care of your health as well as you should. You may not feel like exercising, eating nutritious food, or taking medicine your doctor prescribes. You may abuse alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs. Other signs of poor emotional health include:

Back pain

changes in appetite

chest pain

constipation or diarrhea

dry mouth

exhausted

general pain and discomfort

Headaches

high blood pressure

insomnia (trouble sleeping)

blackouts

palpitations (feeling like your heart is racing)

sexual problems

difficulty breathing

neck stiffness

sweat

discomfort in the stomach;

increase weight loss

Risks if we do not have good emotional health:
Your mental health is also important because it can affect your physical health . For example, mental disorders can increase your risk of physical health problems , such as stroke, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease.
Emotions are psychophysiological reactions
of people in relevant situations
from an adaptive point of view, such as
those that imply danger, threat, harm,
loss, success, novelty, etc. These reactions
are universal in character, quite independent of culture, produce changes in the
affective experience (cognitive-subjective dimension), in physiological activation (dimension
physiological-adaptive) and in expressive behavior (behavioral-expressive dimension). Besides,
from a psychological point of view, emotions
such as joy, fear, anxiety or
anger are basic emotions that occur in all
individuals from the most diverse cultures,
have a considerable biological substrate, are
essentially pleasant or unpleasant, we
activate and form part of the communication with
others and, in turn, can act as powerful motives for behavior.
Consequences of using drugs for emotional health:
Addicted people often have one or more drug-related health problems, which may include lung or heart disease, stroke, cancer, or mental health problems. Scans, chest x-rays and blood tests can check the harmful effects of long-term drug use on the whole body.

For example, it is now well known that tobacco smoke can cause various types of cancer, methamphetamine can cause serious dental problems (known as methamphetamine mouth ), and opioids can lead to overdose and death. Also, some drugs, such as inhalants, can damage or destroy nerve cells in the brain or peripheral nervous system (the nervous system outside of the brain and spinal cord).
Drug use can also increase the risk of contracting infections. By sharing injection drug equipment or engaging in unsafe sexual behavior (such as sexual activity without a condom), it is possible to contract the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and hepatitis C (a serious liver disease). It is also possible to get infections of the heart and its valves (endocarditis) and skin (cellulitis) from exposure to bacteria that can occur with injection drug use.
Drug use often coexists with other mental illnesses. In some cases, mental disorders such as anxiety, depression, or schizophrenia may be present before the addiction. In others, drug use can trigger or worsen these mental health disorders, particularly in people who have certain specific vulnerabilities.

Some people with disorders such as anxiety or depression may use drugs to try to relieve psychiatric symptoms. This can exacerbate the mental disorder in the long term and increase the risk of addiction. Treatment of all coexisting problems should be simultaneous.
How positive thinking helps emotional health:
Aemotion is an affective statethat we experience as a subjective response to a situation experienced. It gives rise to thoughts, attitudes, beliefs about the world and produces a whole series of organic changes (physiological and endocrine).

There are positive emotions (joy, gratitude, admiration...) and negative ones (fear, sadness, anger...), butthere are no good and bad emotionssince they are all carriers of information and, therefore, all are useful. They have an adaptive function, for example, fear leads us to protection, and sadness leads us to personal restructuring.

understand what it is telling usemotion has a bodily translation. Recent studies suggest that having a cheerful attitude reduces the risk of heart disease by up to 22%, since, with less stress, optimistic people have healthy blood pressure and heart rate.

There are many ways to improve or maintain good emotional health.

Be aware of your emotions and reactions. Notice what makes you sad, frustrated, or angry. Try to address or change those things.

Express your feelings appropriately. Let those close to you know when something is bothering you. Keeping sad or angry feelings hidden increases stress. This can cause problems in your relationships and at work or school.

Think before you act. Give yourself time to think and be calm before saying or doing something you might regret.

Manage stress. Learn relaxation methods to deal with stress. These could include deep breathing, meditation, and exercise.

Aspire for balance. Find a healthy balance between work and play, and between activity and rest. Take time to do the things you enjoy. Focus on the positive things in your life.

Take care of your physical health. Exercise regularly, eat healthy meals, and get plenty of sleep. Do not abuse drugs or alcohol. Avoid letting physical health affect your emotional health.

Connect with others. Make a lunch date, join a group, and say hello to strangers. We need positive connections with other people.

Find purpose and meaning. Find out what is important to you in life and focus on that. It could be work, your family, volunteering, caregiving, or something else. Spend time doing what you find significant.

Stay positive. Focus on the good things in life. Forgive yourself for making mistakes and forgive others. Spend time with healthy, positive people.

Although sometimes we have no notion of how stress, sadness, nerves, anxiety, depression and even tantrums affect the body, we must try to control ourselves, calm down as much as possible and act without emotions doing the trick. impact on oneself and on others.

It is clear that when we go through complicated situations, which are sudden or have lasted a long time, for example, an illness, a case of domestic violence , a disability or a dismissal, it is not so easy to control feelings and thoughts, beliefs , decisions and relationships, and behaviors.

It is also not always so easy to know how we behave if we follow the patterns that we unconsciously learned at home (such is the case of a father, a mother or a main caregiver who does not know, for example, how to handle situations calmly). .

However, if we see what specialists say about the effects of emotions on the body, and we analyze how our body and mind react, we will be able to see how they can be harmful and why we must appeal to emotional intelligence to try to prevent or manage chronic (long-lasting) diseases, which are the leading cause of death and disability in the world and which pose a risk to people who have suffered from them during COVID-19.

“Mental health problems do not happen in isolation. It has been estimated that 46% of people with a mental disorder have a long-standing physical problem (Naylor et. al ., 2012). A study shows that, on average, people with severe mental illness have a life expectancy 20 years less than the general population.
