Tihar is a beautiful and colorful festival celebrating in Nepal, also knows as the festival of light. People decorate their homes with oil lamp, candles, and flowers to make them bright and welcoming. Each day of Tihar has a special meaning, and on Bhai Tika, sisters put tika on their brothers’ foreheads pray for their long life while brothers give gifts and blessing in return. I am grateful to celebrate this wonderful festival with my family and loved ones, as it fills our hearts with joy, love and togetherness.
