This hit me the hardest because now a days it is so easy to get distracted while you are trying to have a conversation. Your phone rings, you get a text, you notice a notification on your Facebook app. etc etc. To pay attention to someone you need to completely focus all of your attention on that one person. It is important to give children this attention while they are young. Even if it is something that is not interesting to you or cool to you.
