Las células epiteliales del timo se localizan en la corteza mientras que los linfocitos T se pueden encontrar tanto en la corteza como en la médula.<br><br>Las células epiteliales del timo son muy importantes ya que son responsables de la producción de hormonas tímicas, como la timopoyetina y la timulina, que estimulan el crecimiento y maduración de los linfocitos T. Además, las células epiteliales del timo actúan como células presentadoras de antígenos para los linfocitos T inmaduros para que éstos puedan reconocer y atacar los antígenos extraños.</div>]]></description>
