Many bathrooms have these geometric designs on the tiles lining the walls. During the medival Islamic time, caligraphy was also common with it being used to copy the Qu'ran and the words of god. Textiles being the fabrics worn on a daily basis. The clothes we wear today can have colorings on them and that is from the medival Islamic time.
