Scott needs to create a presentation for a client tomorrow that he has yet to start. Scott's job is to persuade the client to accept his company's environmental protection gear. The gear is used to protect men and women who clean up hazardous waste zones around the world.

The first thing Scott does is search for "hazardous waste protective" to find images he can use that meet the needs of the presentation. The image he finds is below, and it is used on several slides in the presentation. Scott did not check where the image came from on the Internet.

The client arrives at 9am to begin hearing the proposition and the first slide is displayed with the title. Scott welcomes everyone and moves to the second slide with this image on it. The client asks Scott to stop and says he will be leaving. Those who are in attendance are floored that the client is leaving so abruptly. The company owner asks the client why he is leaving when it is only the second slide. The client responds with, "If you cannot respect image copyright then we cannot do business." and then walks out without another word to say.

The company owner, now furious, turns to Scott and asks what he is talking about. Scott tells him he found the image on the Internet and that he did not check the source.

Who do you believe was right in this scenario - Scott or the company? Explain the reasoning for your decision in one paragraph (3-5 sentences). Think about your digital citizenship lessons and plagiarism lessons for support in your response.
