Premiere Pro was used for the editing of the opening and my Director's Commentary. While prior knowledge quickly sped up the learning progress in using this software, color grading and sound felt unknown to me. For example, altering RGB colors and hue saturation curves were the basics of color grading that I had to learn. In addition, adding transitions to sound (fade in/fade out) were also something I had to learn as well, however, I did not struggle as much with sound compared to the color grading process, as it took much longer to achieve the desired 'look' of the film.

For our storyboard, we used Procreate, as it's a drawing app with a variety of layouts and brushes, additionally being convenient for us as I have prior experience with using Procreate.

Adobe Illustrator

For our logo, we used Adobe Illustrator (AI) as we wanted to give our logo a more professional look. AI is known for its amazing quality, and while the tools look complicated to use, it was still easy to navigate.

Fuji X-S10

A Fuji X-S10 was used to film all of our shots, as we've practiced with specifically this camera before. Prior knowledge and experience made the filming process run more smoothly, filming at an ISO of 400 with a 45mm lens.

Saramonic Shotgun Microphone

A Saramonic shotgun microphone was used to the recording of sound, as we needed high quality recordings where doors creaking and the protagonist's sniffling can be heard. Again, we have had experience with this microphone before, therefore using this particular piece of equipment was not a problem whilst on set.

We had to choose a song to play in the background of our opening that was suitable with the calm yet tense environment being shown, therefore, we compiled a handful of songs together into a Spotify playlist. In the end, we chose Seraph I by "How to Disappear Completely".

Canva

All of my presentations throughout my project were made with Canva, as Canva is known for aesthetic layouts and easy-to-use tools to create eye-catching designs (in this case, presentations).
